WARNING: Choose the best Mega Man 8Boss theme of all

The formula of the Mega Man franchise is nearly as famous as the franchise itself. When you cut the fat out, the games all feature 8 stages, a boss for each (let's not get into technicalities). The theme that binds them ranges from glorious and hectic to cheesy and mindless. Today we rate which one is the best of all across any MM games that apply. Despite the excellent Wily, Sigma, Vile, etc. boss themes, those weren't the ones shoved into our heads 8+ over. I've included a link to the different themes across YouTube as a refresher. The sound quality and volume greatly varies and spoilers may also be there but..it's Mega Man. Select your Champion.

Rules:
1. Theme is heard 8 times in the game excluding time-relative battles themes (Vile, X Hunters, Dynamo, Sigma, etc).
2. Official or unofficial remixes and arranges do not count including remake songs. Original song and composition only.

Classic
Mega Man - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUdZA6CES1A
Mega Man 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiAf4eOFaXU
-an absolute classic with one of the most exciting intros ever. Who could forget hearing this song rush up all of a sudden against the quiet backdrop of the final Wily stage and the subsequent surprise of a boss battle
Mega Man 3 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HGZw3YGbUc
-Nostalgia hasn't done as much for this one as I would expect. The melody seems to weave all over the place. Still one of the better Classic ones though. The Complete Works remix is spectacular though.
Mega Man 4 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0c6wa-KJCg
Mega Man 5 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpBBpCqPL-s
-A lighter feel to this one but the game pulls it off. A dark horse favorite you could say.
Mega Man 6 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMC8_-lHXN4
Mega Man 7 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvG658ZRkmA
-7 is an altogether strange game and the musical quality seemed like a step back from X. However this song had a great loop that kept the fight exciting.
Mega Man 8 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYB94nxCzzY (4:20 in)

X Series
Mega Man X - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuUZt0DFfRk
-All hail buttrock! Nostalgia has pushed the X soundtrack far for me but this is still one of the better boss themes to come out of the franchise IMO. Loves me them bridges.
Mega Man X2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMS6QMxZrQs
-UGH go away.
Mega Man X3 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSYVzjPAFZ8
Mega Man X4 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fabizJUG1GY
Mega Man X5 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ow9AY_G6mN4 (1:50 in)
-The single most unique boss theme IMO and a great one. Didn't get into it at first but with the synth voices and the complex loop, you couldn't help but love it.
Mega Man X6 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MeitUT4BOM
-Mega Man Surfing confirmed
Mega Man X7 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9e7ydgzlWjU
Mega Man X8 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwMgcsWlAGU

Zero Series
Mega Man Zero -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KchcyaP7bOM
Mega Man Zero 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=js4e8-3ugpg (20 seconds in)
Mega Man Zero 3 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsT-KssyE8E
Mega Man Zero 4 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xukOaun9wAo
Mega Man ZX - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSr-JOhd87Y

My personal favorite:
Mega Man Zero – Crash
What better way to top a highly refreshing Mega Man game than with a badass boss theme? First there's the tense “Guarder Room” theme to build the atmosphere and then BAM, “Crash” rolls in with a strong, driving beat that really gave the battles an intense pace. The industrialish sound also helps reinforce the series' setting and mood. It's no surprise this theme was remixed in every subsequent Zero game (for midboss purposes I believe). Nostalgia be damned by the GBA sound capabilities!

I know I'm missing a bunch of games here (never played BN/SF, Legends, CM, GB/GBC games) so if those games follow the rules, feel free to include them among the selections. Also discuss why a certain boss theme is your favorite and feel free to discuss remixes/arranges as well. Some of them are absolutely excellent (MM2 boss arrange from CW).

makes good threads.
For some reason Bombman has always been a personal favorite right next to Elecman.
Check out this heartfilled remix by Injury! Also check out her Elecman Remix as well!

Late Edit: Oh Boss themes, got a bit confused when you were naming specific bosses. In that case I choose Mega Man 3.

Didn't get to play Zero 4 but Provoke sounds alright. I think the composers lost all will to go super-awesome once they put out Crash though. And really, who could blame them?

EDIT: *cries* The more posts the merrier I guess.

This is going to be a common answer but:

Mega man 2 and then Mega man X 1

After listening to the others again... they honestly don't compare. X2 and X3 what the heck???

I was gonna say Bubbleman, but it's just boss songs so I'll go with Mega Man 3. I prefer it to the other ones.

I'd also put up MM3's "get weapon" song too.

If you don't shoot the snake thing super fast, then you can kill Gemini Man with like 3 or 4 shots for each one. Oh, it's a normal fight. I don't think I've done that well on him like in that video. :lol

I think I like the faster tune in 3's boss battle song; 2's boss battle song is one of the few songs in that game I don't really enjoy.

Somehow I find this to be one of the most emotional tracks in all of the Mega Man franchise.

I think X2 and X3 both have love or hate soundtracks. I find X2 to be one of the worst yet X3 has one of the more consistently good sountracks (in terms of the franchise's latter half of titles). Yet I know people who find X3 to be terrible and X2 excellent. Check out the Opening Stage music for X3. If you want to throw up OTOH, check out the intro + battle music for the X Hunters in X2.

Yeah, me too..and it is probably the only 'get weapon' I like (maybe X's, forgot how it goes).

What is 'WARNING' about in the topic title?
Part eye-catcher, plus for many of the later games you'd get the grand WARNING message sprawled across the scene to signal a boss battle was about to happen.

Mega Man 3.

I kinda like the original MM's boss theme, but the quality is just too wonky. MM2's is too chirpy.

They had it in MMX4, so unless you're not remembering right...

I played X4 when it was first released and traded it about a week later, so I don't remember very much from it. Was a long time ago.

Only the X games, I don't remember the regular series games doing it.
(Zero and ZX count as X series in my book.)

I would've loved to have used mp3 versions but I don't want to break ToS so.

I think S+M Megaman 8 is best for Themes.
S+M MM 8? what?

Also I think you would like the Zero games Red Scarlet. They more closely emulate the goodness of the earlier Xes and in fact the feeling I get playing them is similar to the one of playing 2D Metroid.

After hearing The Advantage play their Megaman 2 medley, there's no way I can't pick that one. It's followed closely by Megaman X, though.

Speaking of final bosses, X5 and Zero 4 have the best final boss themes. Both sound so epic...it's interesting how both of these final bosses were meant to end a series: X5 was supposed to be the last X game (leading into Zero) and Zero 4 ended the Zero series.
