I'm listening to this new Fetty Wap album. Dude has recorded the same song 20 times. Talk about repetition. I understand that Trap Queen was a big tune for him but he's just Used the exact same formula on every subsequent song. Just as well the album starts with Trap Queen cos once you've heard that you don't really need to listen to anything else.

Time is the best song on the album and it sounds nothing like his singles.

Mecklemore Is My Favorite Wrapper
Honestly my top ten hasn't changed. Yet. I'm going to give Summertime 06 some time to breathe. I have no idea what I'd drop off though. Reasonable Doubt still gives me fits. I probably listen to it more than Pac's Strictly.

Lupe Fiasco - The Cool
Atmosphere - When Life Gives You Lemons...
Kanye West - College Dropout
Kendrick Lamar - Good Kid, mAAd City
Eminem - The Slim Shady LP
Tupac - Strictly for my N.I.G.G.A.Z.
The Roots - Game Theory
Nas - Illmatic
Busta Rhymes - Big Bang
Notorious BIG - Ready to Die

Jay-Z - Reasonable Doubt
Vince Staples - Summertime 06
Rick Ross - Teflon Don
Q-Tip - The Renaissance

It's weird. Because I certainly wouldn't put Lupe as a better rapper than Jay, or the Wu, or Cube or Snoop any of the legend, right? But I definitely like that album better than anything the others have put out. Quote that out of context all you want, but I'm not saying they also don't have amazing discographies.

tl;dr: When you get right down to it, top ten lists are downright disrespectful.

I think Dark Fantasy is better, but I listened to CD more. What do you do? Avoid the question altogether, b.

Had to stop myself from putting Below the Heavens at #1. I played the fuck out of that thing back in the day. Greater Love

Below the Heavens got Lupe'd for me. (Cudi juuuuust squeaked by bc MOTM II is just too dope)

You know, I really couldn't decide between De La Soul - The Grind Date and Lupe Fiasco - Food & Liquor. I loved F&L so much, but never really listened to his other albums (The Cool seems to be the only other good album anyway, no?). De La, on the other hand, I listened to more albums from (the two Art Official Intelligence ones especially) so it would be a bit more fair to pick them instead of Lupe.

This is an interesting choice. Pac has a lot of great songs scattered among shit albums (I just can't listen to any of them from start to finish) and this is by far ''his'' best project.

Agreed. It's probably one of the best "Greatest Hits" albums since the Earth Wind and Fire 3 disc compliation.

I feel the same way. Plus it has Changes. Can't deny that's one of his best songs, one of the best hip hop songs ever tbh.

I'm glad we're listing these. There's a few people posted that I just never took the time to check out but will now.

Man, all these Wu albums. Don't know, I just never could get into them, besides a few Ghostface albums. I understand why they're important, though.

The Changes single was the first CD I've ever bought, I must've been 7 or so back then.
Do For Love is my favorite Pac song, though.

daps for being the first person to reference this album in like 3 GAF-Hop threads. If you like TPAB you should check it out.

For what it's worth...at least the top 10s are reasonable but DS2 on the top 10...wtf
zWVbK.gif

Yeah, agree. I mean, that would be like me putting Days Before Rodeo in my Top 10. I'm still bumping it a lot, but will it be relevant in a few years? Nah (probably). I doubt anybody will listen to DS2 much in 5 years either. Most of my Top 10 is pretty much still on regular rotation.
