Sony Computer Entertainment has just announced that,
PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita will be available in China mainland on March 20,
with several Simplified Chinese PlayStation games.

PlayStation 4 games:
九阳神功 (English name：King of Wushu /Beta version/Made by Suzhou Snail Digital Technology in China)
南瓜先生大冒险(English name: Mr.Pumpkin's Adventure/Made by Shanghai Youju Information Technology in China)
Knack
Rayman Legends
Trials Fusion
Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition(Japanese name: 真・三國無双7 with 猛将&#20253

etc.

PS4 and PS Vita could have already released in China on January 11,2015. While for some unknown reasons, the release date was postponed.

Here's Sony Computer Entertainment's official Japanese press release. Even though it's likely to be the former (and has been stated as such already), I'm greatly curious to see if physical game discs/cartridges are either region free or region locked when the systems launch.

China is such a weird country.
Looking at the country changes and the huge economic boom, you would think that they would be more open to other Western social changes.
Capitalism is alive and well in China, yet, social policies are still lacking.
But it is currently working for them though.
I don't think we will see any future civil unrest that would force a change because people are too comfortable living in such a rich resources country.

It'd probably be only useful for single player games. I doubt they'll be allowed to play COD MP from a physical disc unless I'm assuming incorrectly.

Scuttlebutt says its region locked digitally (psn) but not physically (discs).

Sony officials declined to comment on region lock, but stated in a press release that the upcoming Playstation products are "Chinese Version". According to 腾讯 on mar 10 2015.

Sina cites a "Playstation source" that the PS4 is not region locked on mar 8 2015.

Also that's not the full list of launch titles, just the ones they bothered to list.
