Tinashe is known for her heavy interaction with fans, and after touring the world with her debut album Aquarius, she'll once more be giving back to her fanbase with a new mixtape in the works. Amethyst is set to premiere on March 16th exclusively on HotNewHipHop, and will feature seven new records which you can peep now in the back cover art.

kek. I'm still waiting on the poor girl's album to go gold. It's been like a year, talk about struggle. Now her arena tour (not even sure how 2 hits and one album that hasn't gone gold gets you an arena tour but I'll digress) is cancelled...better hit the studio with XCX Charli asap.

Her tour wasn't cancelled. It was postponed because the tour wouldn't have been in Iggy's vision if it was happening on the originally scheduled dates. She wants to give her fans the best possible tour experience and doesn't want to half-ass it.

Looking 4 It...whew. Extend that bass a little bit and this song would be an actual banger. The piano is a good choice for the melody.

Why does she keep letting C and D-tier rappers get on her songs and drop a completely forgettable verse? why.

Just the Way I Like You might've been a good song if it didn't sound like a skipping CD the whole time. maybe my file was corrupted?

It's really short so it's hard to rank it relative to her other work, but Amethyst is an honest effort. If you liked Tinashe before, it's more of what you like. Looking 4 It is that standout track for me because that beat is fantastic. Amethyst definitely feels like it was scrapped together over a vacation - there's no evolution, and perhaps there doesn't need to be.

I like to look at this as free DLC for Aquarius; it's obvious this girl is a hustler. That passion is really fun to see, and she's establishing a solid fanbase as a result.

Yeah you could have told me it was all recorded before Aquarius and I'd believe you. Still super solid though, she's built up an impressive discography even with only a few mixtapes and one album.
