XSEED teasing something in EU [Brandish TDR on EU PSN]

Ahaha, SCEE being shitheads once again.

Poor XSEED. :(

Finally.

I hope TiTS 2nd doesn't take too long to be Vita compatible.

Oh god. :( I really hope it's even possible to take care of that with SCEE before it releases. It seems like all of the latest PSP releases were PSP only and never updated or quite a while later.

Yup.

I have little faith SCEE will update this for Vita compatibility. Castlevania eventually was after a few months because people kept putting the pressure on, but it still didn't prompt them to fix any of the others.

I bought it and can download it to my PS3 from the webshop?

I think you can transfer to PSP from PS3, so you won't know until you try to transfer to the Vita.

Yep I looked at the same list on the German store. It's really sad and makes me wonder what problem SCEE has with PSP games. I mean, I'm pretty sure this was submitted with Vita compatibility in mind by XSEED. So frustrating.
I forgot all about carnage heart :O just checked still no vita for that game in the eu either

I checked for news on a few recent PSP games as well. Mystic Chronicle and Gradius Collection were updated with Vita compatibility in US but not EU as far as I can tell. Go figure.

They are all submitted that way. The final word is with SCEE, if they don't put it on Vita it's their choice not the publisher.

Oh damnit... Was really looking forward to simply downloading this onto my Vita and give it a spin but like this? I'll probably skip it now :( Can't be arsed with all this transfer crap.

Really?! What is up with that? It seems so bizarre, I'd love to know the reasons behind not adding vita support. Its just lost sales for the publishers at this point and all because SCEE decides so on their behalf?
I won't hold out much hope on playing Brandish anytime soon then. I've been looking forward to it since the US release.

That at least is not entirely dependent on SCEE since it's on PC also, which it can be played on a toaster.

Of course, but I'd really prefer to play it on my Vita.

It most likely has to do with certification, making sure that there are no Vita specific bugs and exploits that they don't bother testing for and instead just disable Vita. At least that's the only thing I can think of.

Careful, next thing you know it, you'll want to make a JP PSN account and another Vita too ;D

lol, no way, my backlog is already taking over my life as it is... I would be tempted to do this though for Brandish, other US only games and mostly to finally be able to play the English versions of FF VII, VIII and IX on my Vita!

If Xseed want to actually sell anything and not have a lot of effort wasted releasing it in Europe, they'll push to have it fixed.

PSP only? SCEE pls -.-

I hope Tom can shed some light into this matter. I actually mentioned this scenario in another thread last year and he said that they would insist to get it Vita-compatible as well. Maybe the game was delayed that long because they tried to convince SCEE but failed? http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=134786761&postcount=12

That being said, I am really worried about TitS 2 now. I haven't started my EU copy of the first chapter yet but I might need to get it on my US account as well if I want to ensure save data transfer to work on the Vita <_<''

I hope they will be WTF SONY asap

Took one for the team and can confirm that the EU version of Brandish is a no-go for the Vita (directly, at least). SCEE continues to be worse than useless.

Just found the PR (searching Brandish on twitter brings up some.. interesting results)

XSEED Games is excited to announce today that the critically-acclaimed dungeon-crawling action RPG adventure, Brandish: The Dark Revenant, is now available for digital download across Europe for the PSP (PlayStation®Portable) system at a retail price of €15.99/£12.99. The game is also fully compatible with the PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system and PlayStation®TV system. Brave European bounty hunters and sorceresses can now enter the lost ruins of Vittoria on their PSPs, Vitas or PSTVs, where death lurks around every corner and nothing is as it seems!

I'm glad Brandish is out but I want a Pal release date for Story of Seasons. I use a US Vita PSN account so I just get their games when they come out their. With the 3DS and its stupid region locking I have to wait ages for the official Pal release.

Maybe it wasn't meant to go live today?

They're "waiting to hear back" on the Vita compatibility according to blog comments, whatever the hell that means
I’m waiting to hear back on any PS Vita compatibility – was hoping to have news early alas, not yet.
I'm assuming that's why it not listed. The PR went out today and says "now available".

Marvelous Europe also asked on their official twitter whether Vita users can see Brandish on the store or not. Seems like SCEE screwed up
to the surprise of nobody.
