Oh man, my mind just exploded in glee at the possibility of an amazing side-scroller Double Dragon brawler/beat'em up with Guilty Gear/BlazBlue quality art and highly tuned gameplay.

Don't forget guys that not only do Arc System do Guilty Gear etc...but they're also one of the biggest publishers of Virtual Console games on the Nintendo eShop.

I really hope they'll create some new games in those series.

Releasing them in the West would be nice, too (Kunio games had a habit of staying in Japan).

What great news. Those IP's couldn't be in better hands! :)

Now if only the Hudson IP's were also bought by a decent company...

I'd love to see the new Downtown Special 3DS remake brought over to our side of the world.

Maybe now it's a possibility!

By the way, is there any chance of this being released on the Virtual Console in the near future? This is hands down my favourite version of Double Dragon.

Interesting, the rights must be cheap or they have more money than we can guess. They have done plenty of Kunio games, I guess it makes sense they will want to own the franchise.

A Double Dragon game in the style of Hard Corps Uprising will be cool.

Now get WayForward to make Double Dragon Neon II.
As much as I loved Double Dragon Neon (the most fun I've had with the series since the NES version of Double Dragon II), that was pretty much one and done. ASW could just make new DD games themselves according to how they envision them now, not to mention this happened.
The core of the DD Neon team quit and became Yacht Club Games (Shovel Knight).

Please use the double dragon license to make a good 2d hd beat'em up
Please use the double dragon license to make a good 2d hd beat'em up
