Fatal Frame™: Maiden of Black Water
The Fatal Frame series lives again

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water is comprised of three interconnected stories that converge to uncover the truth behind a recent string of tragic deaths in a forest marred by a history of suicides. As one of three people with the power of the Camera Obscura and the ability to see the shadows of those spirited away, you’ll explore the ruins of an eerie inn, a shrine filled with life-size dolls, and a lake full of dead priestesses. Each shadowy location is connected by a stream of water flowing throughout the mountain, and this once holy water is tied to the darkest mystery of all—the history of death and darkness on Mt. Hikami.
Features:

- Survive this horrifying new entry in the Fatal Frame series
- Explore sinister locales like an underground cave for human sacrifices and a shrine for life-sized dolls
- Use the Wii U GamePad controller as your Camera Obscura—your only defense against fatal ghosts
- Mt. Hikami is coursing with inexplicably dangerous water; stay dry or die
- Investigate and stay alive on the deadly Mt. Hikami

And they stealth announced Platinum Games on Star Fox, it's like they deliberately avoided all the good announcements.

On topic looks sweet

Because Fatal Frame is too mature for 99% of Nintendo's offering. It's sad but true. However as a smaller dev I'd be pretty pissed at Nintendo and wouldn't support the NX after the Wii U fiasco.

so dumb this was not shown in the event. Nintendo could have spared two minutes.

bought day one (lol all my recent posts involve day one'ing shit)

I think it's pretty obvious why it wasn't shown during their event, Devil's Third wasn't either. They were clearly going for an all ages presentation and that trailer has some pretty disturbing scenes.

Not to mention, this game has received some pretty heavy accusations of sexist representation, they might night have wanted to distract form the rest of their event with that.

The Digital Event is meant to be watched by younger players as well as adults. Showing Fatal Frame and Devil's Third would have been ridiculous. Nintendo made the right call.

They DID show Bayo 2 last year but it was a very quick trailer and that game was such a high profile release (by Wii U standards) that they had to show it.

Guess Nintendo didn't think this was a tonal fit for the Direct, but damn if they missed the mark on how to elicit any enthusiasm out of their viewers this time.
