Metroid Prime: Federation Force was announced at the Nintendo digital event on June 16, 2015. For almost a decade, long time Nintendo fans have been waiting for a true Metroid game. Metroid is one of Nintendo's most beloved and respected franchises spanning almost 30 years of legacy. The foundations of isolation, atmosphere and exploration in unknown planets are what made Metroid great. With the release of the Wii U and its greater technological capabilities thousands of fans were expecting a new and improved Metroid game. 

What we got however is a disgrace of a game with the name "Metroid" slapped on the title. It has no elements at all of what Metroid is about and its a disrespectful manner to old and new fans of the series of showing them that the Metroid franchise is not dead afterall. This is not the Metroid we asked Nintendo to make. We should let Nintendo know what we really think of the game and make them actually LISTEN to their fans for once. I think it's ridiculous, but at the same time if this petition gets big, it'll help tell Nintendo that at the very least they need to fix problems with the game like the art style.

A petition going up isn't surprising and they're a dime a dozen. If someone hates something hard enough this'll happen. It's not like it's gonna affect anything. If you hate it then you should probably not feed them anymore.

When Devil May Cry 4 came to the 360, there was a petition to cancel it so the series would stay PlayStation exclusive. Apparently it's an insult to the fanbase for the Xbox to get a Devil May Cry game. Most of the signatures were something like "this is so stupid" and "lol".

Ok, the announcement came like a kick to the balls to me and I feel like this is obnoxious. Do I want the game to outright not exist? Of course not, it looks pretty fun. It just shouldn't have the Metroid name for enemies that vaguely resemble those found in the series.

The game looks like shit and I would trade this for an actual Metroid game a thousand times over but this petition will do nothing even if it had a billion signatures.
