Made it's budget back -- Twice!

Congrats to the Devs!

EDIT#2: Tweet on their PC sales performance for historical reference

Obviously not everyone who purchases the game will rate it.

This came off a bit snarky, not sure if you meant it that way.

Anyway, games quickly amass a thousand or so likes on the network. This one didn't even hit a hundred in its first day. I was one of them!

Yeah you definitely read it the wrong way. :)

I agree. I sometimes look at the likes and ratings too to guess if a game did well. It's not entirely accurate of course.

I really love small but polished games with high production values. They fit my schedule better than monster games with 100 hours of necessary playtime. I don't mind the content/price ratio at all. Hope that more devs make games like this.

Pretty impressive, i didnt see very much coverage at all on it and only knew its release date this past Sunday. I might have missed the marketing push, but congrats either way to the devs

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is out in a couple weeks so I hope this success carries to that game as well. I'm always down with a gorgeous, atmospheric mystery.

Honestly shocked by this. Got no buzz at all when it was released on PS4. Will definitely pick this one up at some point down the road and yeah I got this confused with Rapture for a minute.

As a I get older I'm prefer compact (sub 15-20 hour) experiences more and more. I'm simply too busy to pour 80-100 hours into a single game anymore.

Throw in Edith Finch and you've got a trilogy of confusion.

I love these sorts of titles.

Vanishing of Ethan Carter
What Remains of Edith Finch
Everybody's Gone to the Rapture

Really striking and sound almost literary. The Last of Us evokes a similar feeling as well.

Congratulations to them. Not sure how much marketing they did but making back their budget within a week is pretty impressive. I wonder what their budget was.

Great titles. Agreed. I want to go read the books they're based on.

I remember buying this game on steam then getting bored within 30 minutes (lots of walking...) only to read to the synopsis and then hate myself for spoiling it. I played through it just for the ending and enjoyed it. I've been warming up to games like this and Life is Strange where you kind of just watch the story unfold.
