So Tingle makes his first solo appearance on the DS in just a few days...so why not start up a main topic about it?

- Who's going to get it (with a Black DS Lite)?
- What do we know about developer Vanpool?
- Will it sell better than Sandlot's mech game (out the same day)?
- Do people think it's likely to get translated?

I dont like Tingle, and I wasnt enchanted by the art like some (although its good) - but the game sounds cool. Lots of nice ideas in it, for example a boss battle which plays like Punch Out and some other mini-game-ish scenarios.

Sounds fun.

Ok now my interest in this game has just gone up 10 points, knowing where Vanpool came from has quelled a lot of my fears about this game (Although they could be still be made up of the runt of the litter)

I don't see how anyone can watch those two movies and doubt in the awesomeoness that is Tingle RPG. And after playing Chibi Robo and with what I've seen of Moon on the PSX, I have no questions about the quality of anyone that came from Lovedelic. These guys are one of a kind.

Anyone who doesn't like Tingle should burn in hell. This game is going to rule hardcore, come Sunday. I need to finish the final dungeon in FF3 before then. :S

Nintendo's afraid of bringing Mother here because Earthbound bombed. Tingle is a whole new franchise that's derived from a very succesful franchise.

Tingle is indeed completely different to Earthbound...As for the reasoning behind Mother not being released, it's a bit of a moot point. If it came out as 'Mother', then most consumers wouldn't have a clue it was even related to Earthbound.
