The japanese dub in Escha & Logy+ is DLC (read OP)

Prelude.

I just watched Bluemaxima's first impression video and as you can see there the japanese dub must be downloaded from the store.
So, if you're from Europe and have imported the physical LE, you might get locked out of that.

Anyone that received the LE and can confirm it's not included in the card?

Also, ask @koeitecmoeurope and @KoeiTecmoUS to make it a game update instead of a DLC so that everyone can download it. AFAIK they never specified it before.

Update: The physical copy is identical to the digital one, so you still have to download the DLC.

Make sure to hit them on Twitter and ask for a EU DLC compatible with the US copy.

Edit: Oh, come on, it's supposed to be "PSA for EU Vitagaf"

Where have you been the past few weeks that you don't know you can't use PSA in thread titles anymore...

PSA thread?

EDIT: :dead: at the Legend of Zelda being the only part edited in the title. A MESS.

Great thread title haha.
Thanks for the heads up, but I doubt Koei Tecmo will or can do anything about it for physical importers

Thanks for bringing this up.

I play with English dub anyway, so I don't mind, but that's a bummer. iirc DanganRonpa: Another Episode had Japanese audio DLC too. These games getting too big for their carts then, I guess.

That could be one of the reasons, but I'd also speculate that by making the Japanese VOs DLC they might only have to pay royalties for the number of DLCs downloaded versus every copy/card of the game sold/manufactured. They could also go to the Japanese actors who want bigger paychecks for their work being used in western games and be like "Look, only 1,000 people even downloaded this DLC in the West."

Totally guessing here, I don't know if that's how it actually works or not.

That's what I think, as game + DLC would have fit on one 4GB cart in this case.

Megadimension Neptunia VII does the same, which is a 7GB game on a 50GB Blu Ray.

You're fucking kidding me.

I had to import the US release because NISA wouldn't bring the physical version to Europe, now I find out that I can't have the original voices either because of the Vita's account system. Well I guess that's an utter waste of £40, because I'm not playing it with English voices after already being used to the Japanese ones.

Yeah, thanks NISA. My copy is still on the way, but this really is a downer. I'm not going to play it with dubs.
