1) Nintendo's PR lists the Onyx and Coral Pink DS Lites as a September 13th release, but it looks like they'll be shipping the 11th. Given that the DS Lite hardware isn't anything new, I wouldn't be surprised if September 13th turns out to be a soft-date and stores start selling them beforehand, however, there's no gurantee.

2) Don't think I forgot about you NHL fans. I tried to work this week's NHL releases into the thread title, but I ran out of room. Sorry!

3)LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy should be in-stores Tuesday, September 12. It's street dated, meaning it actually shipped sometime last week and stores just can't sell it yet, so most places will have it out Tuesday morning.

Can someone explain to me the economics of companies like Ford releasing these small, crappy racing games? I guess it's part of their ad budget, but I don't get it. The games are never that good. I assume they still take a fair bit of money to develop? What's the point?

Who is going to pick this up, let alone go for the 1000 points? I bet they're just shoveled in there.

Anyway, I 've got my eye on:

If you don't buy this, you're part of the problem.

I'll get Red Rescue, but I want the DS version first.

SquareEnix love.

*sigh* The DS/PS2 slaughter finally begins
for me
. There's a lot that I want, but I'll only be picking up Megaman ZX and Okami.

I know, i was just teasing you. To be fair, though, Amazon was the first site to orginally change to the 19th date, when ebgames/walmart/IGN was still saying the 5th. I just wanna know why Amazon and Target moved the day back!

No hard feelings, I was just giving you a hard time as well. Also wanted to make sure folks know I'm actually researching these dates and not just pulling random numbers out of the air.

The Amazon.com and Target date changes are interesting, I've always been curious as to the dynamics of the frequent date shifting, these dates have to come from somewhere, but I have a feeling it's something that will always remain a mystery.

I swear, every time I look this thread the GBA section has one or two good titles surrounded by tons of kiddie shit. I guess I should be used to it by now, but still :/

Is there a way to swap out a cracked DSL out for a new Black one?

In case others missed my thread.

The Nintendo World Store in NYC started selling the black and pink DS Lites, as well as Mario Hoops 3-on-3, today (Monday).

Woo!

Do you think they'll have Megaman ZX tomorrow? I'd like to get before I go to school.

I'd say... not a chance. They get their first party stuff before just about anyone else. But the third party stuff is always late.

What a travesty, don't promote the CD version!

I'd really like to know who has a computer powerful enough to run this game at even minumum settings, yet doesn't have a DVD drive.

Got Mega Man ZX today. Getting Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and Rocket Slime next week, although I haven't figured out yet whether I want to make separate trips to the store or get PMD the day before since it's an insanely long game, and so happens to make it in-store exactly one day before college starts up for me again.

Good month for the DS, and it's not quite over yet.
