If I ever post something in Japanese which I don't understand, please BAN me.
Hi everyone, today I'm here with very good (and very important) news, so please accept my apologies for the formal tone of this blog post.

So the big announcement many of you have been waiting for - we have been able to produce 10,000 more copies of the Final Fantasy XV Ultimate Collector's Edition (UCE) which will be sold worldwide! This brings the total up to 40,000 copies of the UCE.

We have only been able to produce 10,000 more UCEs due to the time it takes to create each individual Noctis Play Arts Kai figure because they are so detailed, and to confirm, this is the final batch of UCEs we will produce.

We cannot guarantee that this new batch of 10,000 UCEs will arrive on time for the launch of Final Fantasy XV on 30th of September 2016. But rest assured we are trying our absolute hardest to get them to fans in time. We will of course provide updates on this closer to the time of release as we know how important it is for you guys to have the game as early as possible.

If you're reading this post then you're going to want to know exactly how to get yourself a copy! I have four different sets of instructions depending on where you're ordering from.

For our fans in North and South America: The newly produced copies of the UCE will be distributed to fans based upon their order within our waiting list. Successful fans will receive an e-mail containing a private link to purchase a UCE, this link will only be valid for 48 hours. These e-mails will be sent out on May 23rd at 9AM PDT. If we do not receive your order during this period, the UCE will go on sale to the next person on the waiting list.
For our fans in France: The newly produced copies of the UCE will be distributed to fans based upon their order within our waiting list. Successful fans will receive an e-mail containing a private link to purchase a UCE, this link will only be valid for 48 hours. If we do not receive your order during this period, the UCE will go on sale to the next person on the waiting list.
For fans in the EU (excluding France): Our new batch of UCEs will go on sale on Monday 23rd April at 10AM BST on our EU store and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Purchases will be limited to one per person.
For fans in Australia and New Zealand: There will be more UCEs made available for our fans in Australia, more details to follow.

Thanks for reading. We're aware that the demand for this UCE is extremely high and we're trying everything we can to get the limited quantity available to our fans in time for the worldwide release of Final Fantasy XV on 30th September 2016.

Well, here's hoping. Seems a weird thing to limit them to so little though. With all the money they spent on the game you would think they would be happy to get 270 bucks per game sold.

just get the deluxe

steelbook
kingsglaive blu ray
game

I want everything in the collectors.....except the statue.....so fucking sick of STATUES!!!!!
Statue =/= figure

Although it does have a way better steelbook. I might end up getting it instead of the CE but I do want that art book.

All I really need is the steelbook, so I'm sticking with my deluxe.

Have they given any details about the in game items on the Ultimate? Especially the angler set. No idea what that is, but it looks like something to do with the car? The other stuff you could make reasonable guesses.

One thing I learnt recently which I'm actually disappointed in, is that Noctis' figure is being sold seperately, (that doesn't bother me), BUT the exclusive weapon in the UCE is the spear while the figure sold seperately gets the sword with the "engine" on it.

I think the engine sword feels more tied to Noctis than the spear, (and looks cooler), seeing it incorporates car elements, Noctis has attachment to his father's car, etc.

Either way, fine with the increase in number, hopefully the copies will be going to those who want it.

Eh, well now it's less interesting.

Might just cancel mine. I guess that tells me how badly I actually wanted this (read: not very much.)

I'd get it if it wasn't for the figure hiking up the price. $269.99? Nah.

Damn it square, why did you get into figure making?

This Collector's Edition should have included both the spear and the engine sword.

"Note: The Unlimited Collector's Edition and the standard version of Noctis each include two weapons. The first weapon is the same in both versions, but the second weapon varies. "

I'm assuming both get the Engine Sword but the regular gets Regis' sword while the Collectors Edition gets the Spear, odd.

I also don't like these DLC items being spread across the world. I don't like the starting DLC idea in general, I just want to start the game fresh like back in PS2/PS1 Days

I guess Australia are gonna get another 20 copies assigned for the whole country. And New Zealand will get none.

Either way, fine with the increase in number, hopefully the copies will be going to those who want it.
From the wording, it sounds like they'll be made available to customers currently on the waiting list from the original preorder for North & South American and French customers, and if they don't place a new order for their copies, they'll be released for general availability.

For everywhere else, they'll be released for general availability.

Damn it, all I was hoping for, was that these new ones didn't include that damn figure. All I want is the artbook.

Same. UGH. Give me a t-shirt, posters, art-book, CD soundtrack, key-chain.

Anything but a statue.

It's too bad they included that Noctis figure.

Not because I don't like action figures or because it increased the price, but because Play-Arts Kai are awful.

Yeah this is stupid. Open the pre-order window for a week and let people order as many as they want. They don't have to guarantee them for launch day but at least people who want one will have the opportunity to get it. They will have a massive amount of pre-orders but this is a nice problem to have as I'm sure their profit margin on each one of those CEs must be pretty respectable.

But all those people in the original thread who complained about their CEs being devalued if they sold it to everyone who wanted one, LOL.

I'll reserve judgment on the figure. The only Play-Arts figure I own is Advent Children Cloud and it's pretty crappy for the price. I didn't pay for it though.

They have been better recently (the VII line of the last 2 years has arguably had some of the best figures in the PAK line for a long time and the consistency between each one has been better too from what I've read).

Profit margin isn't something they care about with these things, otherwise Sony would have produced more than 12,300 20th Anniversary PS4s.

Not to mention that sword design has been part of this title since the day it was announced as Versus XIII.
I want engine-sword too :(

Suppose it's either they all sold out at exactly the second of 10am or maybe they've not started allowing orders yet. Hope it's the latter :/

I would be shocked if it sold out so fast, last time it was up for a few hours in europe before selling out, so a few seconds is pushing it really.

FFXV Collectors Edition will be up shortly, we are experiencing some technical difficulties this morning. Please bear with us.

atleast we know something

How is the SE store on changing payment methods on preorders? My card doesn't have a chip in it and a bunch of stores around me are pushing that chip thing.

Who is the provider? All I know is that Visa and Master Card sent chip based cards to every holder (via their banks), so chipless cards are pretty uncommon. Besides, for pre-orders the name, cc number and cvc number in some cases are mandatory. For this case, SE charges the card a couple of days prior to shipping, and the usual one cent test to verify the card depends on department and country. There is always the option for pay pal though. Here in Europe most stores do no not accept Diners Club btw.

Are they doing the retarded 50:50 ps4:bone split again? I will be pissed if I'm forced to waste money on the bone version.
