Between 2014 to 2015 digital sales rose with 34%
Console gaming stands for the highest growth in digital revenue 2014 to 2015 with an astonishing 47% in growth.

Digital sales are based on SuperData Research. The source is Swedish transaction data with over 184000, unique, paying costumers that together have made more than 1.35 million game transactions.

Retail sales are taken from ANGI and GfK entertainment

pekat nedåt sedan 2008. Om man däremot isolerar den fysiska spelförsäljningen
2014-2015 till den nya generationens konsoler Wii U, Playstation 4
och Xbox One, så ökade den med nästan 100 procent år till år. Varken datorn,
mobilen eller smart-tv:n har ännu kunnat utmana spelkonsolens centrala plats i
vardagsrummet. Förutom spel använder många sin konsol som förstahandsval för
Netflix och andra populära tjänster. Men, trots den nya konsolgenerationens lyft
för fysiskt distribuerade spel är redovisningen av digital spelförsäljning helt
oumbärlig för att rättvist klargöra vilka intäkter dataspel skapar.

So while the Wii U and XBox One is kinda slumping here it's kinda nice to see that 1% growth in retail but even better to see the growth in digital sales for consoles.
So all that doom I see from time to time can greatly be attributed to people buying more digital and/or the fact that less retail games are made and instead we see a rise in digital only games.
