The Tetris masterminds over at Arika have released an open beta of Jewelry Master, a new puzzle game in the veins of their Grand Master-series. While the initial setup and gameplay looks alot like their previous Tetris games, it doesn't play anything like it so don't try to play it that way.

Nice thing about this game is that it has a full featured online ranking with replays built into the game, it automatically uploads your replays to the server when you have finished a round and you can watch all replays by selecting them on the highscore list.

Go to the following page and click the user registration button (ユーザー登&#37682 and then type in your email address (メールアドレ&#12473 and a user id (希望ユーザーID) and you'll get a password mailed to you.

I won`t lie. There`s a love and berry cab on the same floor as the ramen shop near my office...

So do I. While I admit my tetris reflexes are fairly good.. they're still trying to play tetris. I'm just not used to Jewelry Master just yet.

I had a combo going on that 110 run when I died, so I could've placed higher. Gonna try again later. Looking forward to see the rest of gaf on the score boards though.

So apparantly Arika is making Forever Blue for Wii...could be interesting. I just have to give them respect for what they did with the original Street Fighter EX soundtrack - that thing rocked.

I'm back on place 108 now. Getting better.

I really love this games, it's not tetris.. but it's great nonetheless. It seems there will be a new version of the game tomorrow.

Ok, they have released the new version (v 1.10) and they have cleared the highscores. The client and registration page is now in english too.

I'd pay for this game too as it is a great concept. But for now it's all that it is.. they're trying out a concept and plenty is changing between versions. I don't know where or when they plan to release a final version.

I just ranked in a 54 in hard mode, I was at 58 earlier today but I got pushed down to 61. And now I just beat my old score.

Seriously people.. you need to play this game.

And now I ranked in a 58 in Death Mode.. I'm getting better..

Though, I guess I shouldn't bump this thread anymore since no one here care about this game anyway..
