Is there any info about Team ICO's PS3 game?

I'm craving to hear something....anything about Team ICO's PS3 game! Or are they doing a PSP game?(would be major bummer) With GOW3 pre-development confirmation, it'd make me more comfortable about the PS3! Anyone know when they're going to release new info? E3? TGS? Same world as ICO and SOTC? Anyone with insider info care to give some 'rumors'?

I'd kill for a Xbox 360 version of their new game.

Just bring in the cash Microsoft :)
No, they're first party man. They're a strong unqiue asset to Sony. Nothing else like them in the industry.

Isn't Team Ico a Sony dev team?

-edit- wow, three times in a row. I think it's obvious now.

Well now that is some bad news.

Considering the fact that there won't be a Xbox 360 version then, I'm hoping the Team ICO game for the PS3 will be release in about 3 years, that way the PS3 will have a low price so I can get it :)

Or it releases in a year (or shorter) and you can get in in 3 years. Don't want to wait that long.

I'm dying to see some media or art, or anything from this game. When this comes out, which will hopefully be after a pricedrop, and I can get MGS4, I will be at the store buying a PS3.

The only thing we've heard is that right after they finished SotC, Ueda didn't have any ideas that really screamed to be done next, so the team was given some time by Sony to just experiment. Don't expect to see anything for a while, regardless of how far they are along.

No info. No announcment even that they're making a PS3 game. I think back Feb there was an interview discussing what they would do next. They said still deciding between PSP and PS3 game, but probably slightly leaning towards PS3 more. It better be PS3.

Having said that... http://videogames.yahoo.com/newsarticle?eid=404480&page=0 From October last year. Hmm... (Maybe I was wrong about the no announcment thing).

But in short. No, no info. The end. I think.

I've got a FANTASTIC IDEA! Shadow of The Colossus 2 on the PS3...*imagines*....*soils pants*
I guess Ueda doesn't roll like that, still...It'd be more than happy with that.

That's great! At least it's certain it'll be on PS3! That's more than a year ago so I hope he already has decided what he's going to do!

Not much. They did confirm that their next game would be (naturally) on PS3. The team said they had ideas for a possible PSP game but no confirmation.

I only hope the PS3 game retains the visual flair ICO and SOTC had.

It's no secret that I have little interest in the PS3, but my mind REELS at the kind of things Team ICO could accomplish on the system.

A Director's Cut of SotC with all the original and canned Colossi would also be nice. A nice snack before the next-project.

If there was you would have heard about it already. :) My hunch is that "SotC sequel" rumor was complete bullshit, Ueda doesn't seem to operate that way. But it's likely whatever they're working on will be set in the same tangental universe as the previous two games. And like SotC, the concept is probably going to come completely out of left field. I can't wait to see what they come up with, it's gonna be awhile though I imagine. :(

Can't wait to see the kinds of sick shit they can accomplish on PS3 level hardware. I didn't care much for Ico, but SotC was **** awesome. Hell, I wouldn't mind even an upgraded version of it.

One of the main reasons to buy a PS3 for me is to get whatever they make. I can't wait to see whatever it is.

SotC is probably only one of the non racing games where I could see the Sixaxis motion control not only being interesting but also being immersive. I look forward to whatever they offer next. "Team ICO" games are almost too sophisticated for the current videogame audiences.

it is also one of the games that i could see the lack of rumble in the Sixaxis controller detracting from immersion.

Whatever they do, i'm sure it will be great :)

Yeah. Team ICO is one of the reasons I'm getting a PS3, along with Kojima Productions, Square-Enix (who would honestly be a joke to me without FF13), and Team Silent.

I'm not even gonna think about buying a PS3 until Team ICO's game is out, there's no other game I even want. I also have to buy a new tv before that as well.. I'd say it'll be out in 2009. Whatever they are cooking up, it's guaranteed to be worth the wait!

While the ICO development team is known for its games that portray a realistic world and include lifelike graphics, Ueda thinks it would be fun to create a game that goes in a different direction, such as adopting the use of cartoonish characters.

This makes me squirm a bit, but I have faith in the team

I expect something abour their PS3 game around TGS 2007,release in 2008.
It will be amazing, that's for sure. Team ICO's art + PS3 graphical power= amazing.

if mgs4 ends up on the 360, it would be the only reason for me to buy a ps3...

i'd say there's a really good chance of it happening bro... there's too much talk. plus, sales of software on the 360 are quite good considering the total installed base. konami would be foolish not to port it. and, if they do, i've got $100 that says it's not a hack job like mgs2:s on xbox.

Don't ruin my thread :( Not the place for that here.

they need to play Twilight Princess about 10 times all the way through, take lots of notes, and then decide on how to make their PS3 game :)

No they really, really don't. Zelda is Zelda. Team Ico games are totally different and should stay that way.

Most likely we won't hear anything till around the time it comes out, which probably won't be soon.

Wrong. ICO and SOTC are unique games that stand on their own and have their own flavor. Ueda doesn't really need to 'take notes' from other games in that way. I like their focused and stripped down concentrated design.

I think we might see a teaser of some sort for Team Ico's PS3 project next year, (perhaps at their E3 replacement, whatever that might be) regardless of the project's state of completion.

Really something that shows the game's concept or storyline. I think Sony will be showing alot of 'big guns' next year, regardless of whether they are ready to be shown or not.

SotC in 1080p/60fps would be more beautiful than any next-gen game currently out.

I'm in no way against PS3 and will buy one at some stage, as I do with all consoles. But these posts are based on some truth. I mean out of all the major console launches that have happened over the past 20 years or so, the PS3 has fewer exclusive titles out or on the way that excite me than any other gaming machine.

Look back at the launch window of the SNES - Super Mario World and F-Zero, with Zelda, Mario Kart, Act Raiser, Street Fighter 2, Pilotwings etc following. Or N64 - Mario 64, Wave Race, Pilotwings 64 and Turok. PSOne with Ridge Racer, WipEout and Jumping Flash. PS2 with Ridge Racer 5 and Tekken Tag. Dreamcast with Vitua Fighter 3 and Sonic Adventure. Xbox - Halo, DOA3, Jet Set Radio Future and Project Gotham Racing. 360 - PGR3, DOA4, Kameo and perfect Dark... Some of these titles aren't even that special but they're still more exciting to me than virtually everything confirmed for PS3 so far.

The only thing I know about Team ICO's next project for the PS3 is that apparently Fumito Ueda said it will have the same dual gameplay (protaganist and secondary character) that we've seen in ICO and Wander And The Colossus.
