It wouldn't be impossible, especially since it lines up with previous NRS releases. But if it is indeed coming in March, NRS & WB Games are gonna have to start revealing stuff fast.

MvCI isn't until Late 2017, so there isn't really a concern.
But yeah, if Injustice 2 is announced to be at EVO 2017, then we can expect it to be out before the summer.

I mean anything can happen but they've been bizarrely quiet on this game. Nearly 5 months now without a new reveal, which is basically unheard of for Fighting Games. Everything could be fine and they are just being quiet, but it's still weird.
This is true, I sort of expect it to happen. Could be the start of them reigniting the marketing too, regardless of if the game is coming out this soon or not.
Eh, I dunno. Spring is always tough competition for fighters because companies are trying to get their games out for the FGC season/EVO. Tekken 7 is going to be something Injustice will have to compete against too anyways.

they're completely different styles of games though and the people who want marvel 3 are going to get it no matter what.

Isn't this around the time all of NRS' fighting games have come out?
This game was announced WAY before MvC was, so why wouldn't it come out before MvC? Also, NRS makes the most popular fighting games out there. They're not afraid of MvC:I.
