Nintendo Switch Size Comparisons (3DS/WiiU)

Seems a lot seem confused and assume it is just as big as the WiiU gamepad. This handy comparison from Kotaku helps with some comparisons with 3DS and WiiU:

I thought from previous pictures that it was roughly the same size apart from the depth. Really nice. The screen is basically the size of a 3ds. I might actually end up carrying that and the pro controller round with me in my bag.

That's a lovely piece of kit. Kinda crazy we can get something that runs Zelda better than the Wii U in a console less than half the size of the Wii U's gamepad.

Not only do I really like the Switch form factor, I would really like to see Nvidia make their own version running W10 ARM

Definitely one of Nintendo's best designed hardware in a while. Only negative is a few too many separate pieces but I guess that's why it has the flexibility it has.

Has Nintendo released he actual dimensions of the dock? I'm trying to figure out where in my cabinet I want to put the thing...

Another really good one. The idea that this is as massive as the WiiU gamepad is a weird assumption that has gone around. I mean we just has a thread where someone said it won't fit in a full size backpack.

Glorious. I need to find said thread and post.

It really is amazing. That new Mario game and good old MK8 running at 60 fps on a portable device feels like a dream.

This is the key. This thing is tiny yet can replicate Wii U graphics and who knows how much better in time. As a handheld which can be put on the TV it's stunning.
The only thing making me want to cancel my preorder is the launch lineup :(

Kinda OT but why ? Running windows store games ?! Most non store games are 64 bit (I have no idea if this is true, I assume so) and wouldnt work ?

Switch is a really nice looking device .

I think it's just regular old Skyrim, but even that at 720p in a console that size is great to me. Really can't wait.

Personally I would rather "regular old" skyrim with mod support than "not the same game not the same content all new all different" skyrim without, but who knows what its actually getting.

If Windows runs on ARM as speculated, then any windows programs should run. The ARM cpu in the Switch is 64 bit.

Looks like an amazing handheld.
I can see why many are turned off by it as a home console but this is what I wanted since the Wii U Gamepad which I loved playing on.
