Man, I so wish I didn't live in a country that's shit for playing online, I'd love to participate in online tournaments.

This all sounds great.

been practicing on Tekken Tag tournament 2. I got 3rd place in the Tekken 6 worldwide rankings one time but then my PS4 crashed. I'm excited to give this a go.

So apart fom the one for Evo, all the 15 other spots are online warriors ? Or I missed something.

The regional leaderboard has online tournaments as a part of it. The leaderboards also include offline tournaments and events.

I highly doubt if it'll be possible for online-only players to quality, most likely they'll have to haul ass and win a regional or two in addition to the online before they can think of themselves in a prime spot to qualify.

I'm from India.

How can I participate? India comes under Asia Pacific according to the rule doc n online is held between July-August. What does that mean??

So they say the top 5 regional players plus the EVO champion makes 16 players. Is that per platform to get 15 regional players then?

It's the top 5 players on the Americas leaderboard, Europe leaderboard and Asia-Pacific leaderboard, plus whoever wins Evolution.

Running fighting game events on PC is a pain in the ass, especially since you have to constantly stop and restart the game between every set just so people can plug in and setup their own sticks or pads. That and there's always hardware issues that come up.

I'm glad Bamco is pushing Tekken 7 now, hopefully they will be as good as capcom and keep on supporting it and not just this year.

I dint know this was a thing so awesome! After the PS4 online patch this week I'll be practicing.

Finally a fighting game online tournament corporate sponsored for a Triple AAA title game. Thank you NAMCO. :)

The quickest path is to win at Evo but unfortunately Evo is next month.
Some of the hardcore players have had 2 years experience with the arcade version.

Not enough time to git gud.
