Im an xbox one owner and the thing never gets used, the games have dried up, and scorpio is about to take over. Theres a reason they sell day old bread at half price.

How would it be a dead console? Xbox One S will still outsell Scorpio maybe 5 to 1. If you can play Halo 6 on a $149 or $199 console versus a $399 one, which one would you pick? The Xbox One S also does 4K output and has a UHD Blu-ray player. Come black friday, would be a great pickup for even people who hate Xbox if the price is right just for the UHD blu-rau capability and the few exclusive games you may want to play.

Love my One S and $199.99 is a great price. I suspect $199 will be the new long term & $399 for the Scorpio base level console. ($200 extra is definitely "Premium")

Take over what? They've already explicitly stated that games played on Scorpio will be playable on Xbox One, just like the Pro and Slim. They'd be insane to segregate their userbase otherwise when they're playing catch up as it is.

On another note, I still think I got the best deal on an Xbone S back in October... Halo MCC+5 bundle with Forza Horizon 3 for $250. Depending on what the trade-in deals look like, I could see myself not really losing much on that purchase when/if I upgrade to Scorpio.
