OG Xbox Duke controller re-releasing for XB1 & PC Holiday 2017

The oversized controller from the original Xbox console — aka “The Duke” — is making a comeback on the Xbox One this holiday season, via Polygon. Accessory maker Hyperkin is partnering with Microsoft to bring back the legendary controller for the Xbox One and Windows 10 devices.

The new Duke is a slightly modernized version that will be, for the most part, a “faithful recreation of the original controller's form factor.” That’s not to say there won’t be any new features: Hyperkin is updating the controller with “a logo display screen, left and right bumpers, and a 9 ft. detachable cable.”

Not a fan of The Duke but that is super cool.

You know, the original S controller wasn't half bad either, wonder how it feels to use now.
 
Oh man, what an interesting thing to bring back. I never liked the thing even though I have large hands but gotta appeal to all the weirdos
 
I don't even know how I even enjoyed using that thing back in the day. Going to feel strange compared to something like the Elite.

Outside of the d-pad, I loved the Duke. Every controller since then has been too small for me. Will keep an eye out for this.
 
I still have my original Duke controller. But since this will have better support (no converter required) I may be interested.
 
That's pretty neat. Don't really like the Duke though. I have large hands, but still preferred the Controller S at the time.

between this and the GC controller from Nintendo that was re-released, we just need Sony to release a Dualshock 2 now...
 
quite possibly the worst controller I ever had the displeasure of using..

I couldn't wait for the S version to release...
