PSN Games, where are you? FLOW HAS BEEN RELEASED

A while back we got a sort-of schedule for PSN releases, from Jim I think. Some of the dates ended up moving around, and Flow is nowhere to be seen, but I think everythign else mentioned has been released. But what about new stuff?

Any news on new releases for PSN? The only things I've heard about lately are:

Blast Factor Multiplayer (ok)
Calling All Cars (can't wait)
Warhawk, maybe....
Midway classics (cool)

What else is coming?

I don't mind the slow release of PS1 games, since there's the workaround of ripping your own, although it would be nice to see them playable on the PS3 itself. But what about original content? Or at least retro arcade titles?

Am I missing PSN news, or has there been lettle revealed for a while?

I'm still enjoying Gripshift and Blast Factor, but I'd love to see some new stuff at least announced.

Flow got pushed to february I believe. CAC is still march. No Idea when tekken is coming to the NA store, most likely before euro launch since they are getting it. I think I heard something about !Go Puzzle or something coming in feb/march.

To be honest I'm not really worried about them, I personally want more 3rd party demos.

Yeah the lack of EA content is........ODD.

It's not just that. Whats up with the DMC4 demo available in japan kiosks, but not on the Playstation Store? O_o

It's Sony ****ing up, that's what. They just weren't 100% ready for the launch. SCEA needs reps here at GAF like MS does to hear the voices of real gamers.

>:(

Lets not even get into why some of the E3 demos aren't there, God I'd kill to have that Heavenly Sword, and Warhawk Demo, I'd also love that Heavy Rain Trailer in full 1080p. They have the content, why it's not up is a mystery.

Why would they do that? That's just stupid to not put it up. If it's good enough (bugs and all) to be played in kiosks it's good enough for online download.

Everything you just typed is as if Jesus typed it himself.

I'm really really upset that SCEA can't read your post.

I feel ya.

Also, I feel this is stupid for another reason: If they are waiting until the Euro launch to drop a ton of this content, they are just going to be killing the servers when it all comes out.

They should start yesterday releasing this stuff they already have in the can: demos, videos, ect. and just add two or three things a week until the Euro launch.

Calling All Cars is still on for March...I am sitting in a focus test right now for the game.

Good read, does sound a bit stressful. I work in animation, but it be cool to experience one of these sometime. I like that you can see their reactions without them knowing.

I am very stoked about Calling All Cars, and have been ever since I saw the trailer.

But I want more!

Edit: Cool blog entry.... makes me want to play!

9:36- Jesus...this one guy on the right screen is so ****ing stoned...he's like 40 and at a focus test on a wed morning....he prob is a stoner...cause he has NO CLUE how to play this game!

Holy shit... :lol
LiveBlogging a focus test - Only Jaffe :) Great stuff.

Yea, he brings up a lot of good points in his blog.

It's good that casual games will come to PS3, but I hope there's an audience :)

Not much really, but coincidentally just showed up from SCEA PR:

Sony Computer Entertainment America will update the PLAYSTATION®Store on Thursday with new gaming and entertainment content, including a new multiplayer pack for Blast Factor™, the popular physics-based action game running in full 1080p.

Below are the details on the new offerings from the PLAYSTATION Store:

· Fans of Blast Factor will be able to take on their friends via a new multiplayer pack ($2.99). Choose from a variety of 1-4 player cooperative and grudge match multiplayer modes. Test your skills and play the game with up to a 150 percent speed increase.

· Check out all-terrain racing on the PSP®(PlayStation®Portable) system with Jet Moto®, an emulated PlayStation title ($5.99).

From what I hear, they ARE trying to get on a more regular schedule, especially moving towards the Euro release.

You are playing Resistance, and haven't played with the GAF Clan yet? For shame, young David...for shame.

I know you are a little busy right now, but, at least once in your life, you must experience "teh Wedge!" with 19 other GAFers.

David please put a buzz in SCEA's ear that we (the gamers) will like more demos like DMC4, Warhawk, and all the other PS3 demos running at TGS 2006 on PSN before the Euro launch.

Could you do that for us?

Thanks. :)

Yea, wtf Sony.

They really need to step it up with releases.

Demos, screens, vids and so on of first party games especially!

Stuff to make the PSN users feel good about the service. :)

I would say third party stuff especially. There's a distinct lack of third party demos, for example. SOE doesn't really count :p

Yeah I would like it if it got to the point that we got demos on PSN when live gets them. Like the Def Jam and NBA street ones this week should be on PSN too.

I was actually alot more worried in early in Dec....then of course we got the likes of Lemmings and GTHD and some more trailers. Then we got Gripshift. Which is dang good.

If we got a quality game that was 5-10 bucks or maybe even free like GTHD was i'd be happy with that. Which so far, since Nov, they are doing that. Not to mention a TON of PS1 games for PSP. So come March...hopefully we will have the Midway and NeoGeo games on the PSN...and the ps1 emulator ready to go and you all of the sudden have a nice sized downloadable library....so everyone just chill!

Very good. Downloading Jet Moto tomorrow.

The PR still doesn't say if the Blast Factor Multiplayer is online or not. Strange.

Anyone know?

I still can't believe they are considering charging for that.

how do you get all those PR releases so fast? Is it like a distribution list or something?

I got ****in GT: HD for free, with Tekken: DR for a low cost. I feel very damn good about the service so far.

I am very pleased with the releases so far-- I am a big Gripshift fan in particular (got some of the top times on release night :) )-- I was just noting the lack of news about upcoming releases. I begin to worry that the pipeline might be semi-empty after this first flush of games.
