Did Nintendo change the bittering agent in the cartridges?

I got Sonic Forces yesterday and just was really curious in the taste of the cartridge, and found it wasn't as bitter as for example BOTW. Which struck me as odd I don't see why they'd need to change the formula.

Has anyone else tested this and found it to be true? Or did my cartridge come with less bittering agent in it.

Talking about guilty pleasures.

Hey? Why are you putting cartidges in your mouth????

Nintendo Cartridge taste is now a thing. Reviews start taking into account the cartridge taste in the future. Maybe we can get some blind taste testing done. 7 of 9 gamers prefer the taste of Mario Odyssey.

So maybe Nintendo is cheaping out on the agent for third party cartridges? More diluted solution maybe cuts back costs so they can profit more?

Wait, your saying nintendo adds a bittering agent to there carts so people wont put those things in there mouths. This is getting weirder and weirder

Maybe Nintendo found that the agent used was too bitter so people were actually compelled to taste it out of curiosity and they felt that was against the point of the bittering agent in the first place. Therefore a new, less addicting if you will agent was used. You're just part of the testing process OP.

Because the bittering agent they put in at least from what I can tell BOTW is different from Sonic, and even nights of azure 2

I hope the next game tastes like strawberry so I can put it in my mount since my Switch softcase is full on cartridges now.

Nintendo cheaping out with the bittering agent makes me reevaluate my purchase. I mean, it's part of the Switch experience.

This is sad. Kids in a few years will never know what a Switch cart is supposed to taste like. :(

I 'member when switch cartridges tasted bitter.

Why does it matter? Stop tasting your games.

Because I'm not about to play Sonic Forces, but I will taste it.

If it was any other game it wouldn't cross my mind but someone licking a Sonic game sounds like some kind of weird fetish to me.

This is the correct answer.

The reactions towards Sonic Forces is already bitter enough to be even thinking about adding bitterness to the cartridge.

New review scoring category incoming.

I give Mario Odyssey 9/10 for graphics, 10/10 for gameplay, 9/10 for sound design but 5/10 for cart flavor. Too bitter, needs some notes of cinnamon and an overtone of clove to offset it.

Maybe someone at the store or factory had already licked your cartridge so it tasted less bitter to you.

Only Nintendo cartridge susceptible to swallowing due to lack of bittering agent a Sega game...

Someone's stepping up their console war game to murder I see.
