I'm just going by past releases. Usually it's the day before the store update at midnight.

There's definitely going to be a PSN Store update today btw. No question.

So if firmware usually hits the day before a store update (Thursdays) we could get a firmware next Wednesday... that's soon enough for me. I wonder if Luke Smith had any sound basis for his blog about Sony countering Halo beta with a Killzone demo... cause it looks like that ship has sailed, unfortunately.

that Wednesday night thing has been proven false.. the last 2 updates were wednesdays but the others followed no such pattern.

Seriously.. they better not **** this up. They had more than enough time to create the trailers, burn them to DVD & upload them onto the press site, so just plopping them onto the PS Store should be trivial.

Some of them are even in the proper mp4 format already (Heavenly Sword for example).

next week. i think it was the same for GDC, they could have had some gdc content up the next day on PSN, but it showed up a week later IIRC

I converted the Windows files and they worked fairly well. Are the MOV's better for conversion? Their not washed out like in Quicktime, right?

It was only supposed to be this year, I don't think they ever mentioned a timeframe.

I wouldn't be surprised to see another demo hit in July (so far we've had March, April, and June), but that's more likely to be DMC4.

What are you using to convert? I've never actually tried converting/uploading video files to the PS3 yet... I think this would be a great time to start

I had trouble when the PS3 first launched, but the newer PS3Video9 software does the job. I recently converted a slew of videos, since the PlayStation Store is likely to skip on them all. (How don't they have Heavenly Sword previews?)

How about some more third-party demos? XBL got a Area 51 Blacksite demo last week if I'm not mistaken.

Also, jealous of XBL's board games (Catan, Carcasonne!) .. need some of those!

PS3 doesnt recognize MPEG2. USE MPEG4 w/ AVC (unless im mistaking two different entities).
