I really like certain elements of the composition - the lighting, the open environment, the Chief charging into battle. Great color scheme and setting. HOWEVER.

I don't think it's a good cover. The logo is too plain and partly obscured. I think they're trying to cram a little too much into one shot - the Chief front and center, the Ark in the background, etc. Something about it just feels *off*. No biggie for me, since I'm getting the Legendary Edition, but it's just okay overall. That is enough, however, to make it the best Halo cover yet; covers have never been Halo's strong suit. Which is odd, since most of the actual Halo artwork is amazing.

Have you seen the Halo 3 tin? It has said minimalistic design. And I agree, it looks much better.
