wtf? gamestop pays $4 for used 360 battery paks?

Oh...well, okay. I guess that's kinda stupid.
 
Buying used isn't a good idea either. Battery packs weaken over time. Who knows how busted the battery pack is
 
I bought a new one from them a week ago and they were desperatly trying to get me to buy a used one. Im like, do you know how long it was used for? He says no. Lol and just hands me a new one without hesitation.

they're $12 new, i just bought 2.

that's how i found out about the used ones.

he asked me if i wanted a used one.

i said no, then asked what the trade in value was.

he said $4.

then i asked how much the used ones cost.

he said $10.

When I refuse to buy used or put money down for a pre-order they get this bewildered, forlorn look in their eyes or they become really upset. "Hey, I'm just trying to save you money." WTF? I don't get it. They are two steps away from being as bad as used car sales people.
 
Heres a tip when selling gaming stuff, try a pawn shop. You can get MUUUUUUCH more than you would at Gamestop. Usually can find some hidden gems/GREAT deals there aswell.

No on comission. But preordering stuff helps their numbers and gets them hours. So if they have no GI subscriptions or Reservations they get screwed. :lol

Doubt it, used brings bigger margins for Gamestop so I'm pretty sure the stores force them to ask these questions

even when in the end, ALL STORES are the same...

yeah i always buy from whatever's the cheapest... and at $8 (with trade-in of used battery) how can you lose?
