There's versions of some of the finalists on the forum, Shuggy is definitely there, think Little Gamers is too.

I want to play Shuggy, Little gamers, and the samurai game.

Holy shit @ the art for Viduce.

yeah I gave up trying to work out what the hell that was.

Hope MS see sense & really expand the comp to help as many finalists that so have good stuff to get out their on XBLA.

I too really would like to try them & maybe even buy some if they're good.

Nice Ghost, you got the link?

I'm not knocking anything on the list but all of those concepts are pretty lame. Where are the original ideas?

The screens give away most of the ideas.

I guess there are some that can't be understood based off the pictures.

Yeah I mean pick a game that has some buzz at the mo, Everyday Shooter, show that in screens without any context and it could look very derivative.

Damn, I want to play this game called The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai, the action looks insane. Plus, we get to smash in zombies with their own heads. Check out the vid.

Holeee shiit. That is insane in motion. Makes me pine for a 2D vergil spinoff game from Capcom. :(

Edit: It looks like a cross of DMC and the context stuff of GoW. AWESOME.

man just imagine how cool its going to be when microsoft releases the distributor for xnagmes so anyone can play them. that and the ability to play the games online.

How these are getting judged & by who?

Guess we'll find out when the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place are announced on the 13th

Going from the vids available they all look really good, The Dishwasher looks AMAZING tho

Ragu looks really interesting too

It would be great if they would throw these games up on live for everyone to play, and let the people vote for their favorites. I'd like to play that samurai game, but will i ever be able to?

Would it be stupid if I asked for some of these to show up on PSN?

no idea?

MS might have 1st refusal on the contest submitted stuff but guess its the creators property's and if there offered a deal I dont see any reason on why the could not be rewritten for any platform.

Ghost?

Wow, I hadn't tried those .ccgame files yet! I'm unpacking all of those linked games to my 360 right now! :D It's really easy now, just click a button and it uploads instantly. No need to compile the code yourself now.

They'd need re-writing, other than that though it could happen.

Yeah ccgames are great, kinda stupid that that even the PC ones only work if you have game studio express though.

Really inventive stuff in shuggy! Only having played through the first level after the introduction level, I already had a huge smile on my face. :D

I played a level called "Time Slip", where after a while a clone of yourself appears doing exactly what you did for the whole level and you must avoid bumping into it. Then after a while another clone appears, and another, and another... Really cool music too. :)

I'm playing another level now where shuggy has been zombified (with big glowing red eyes and all) and all you can control is his jump power.

Everything from the graphics to the music, to the gameplay is quite brilliant. Shuggy FTW indeed!

Damnnn. The Dishwasher looks freaking amazing. Release that Microsoft. I'd buy it.

A lot of other stuff looks pretty sweet as well. Seem to have some pretty talented people working on things.

Edit: Heres another video of The Dishwasher that I found. Looks really fun. Mayhem galore.

OK, XNA is real. The Samurai Dishwasher looks INSANE!!!!! All of these look cool.

Get these games out there NOW please!

Having had a look at these games in more detail now I realise that a publishing deal for one of them just isn't enough... they need to find ways to get a few of these on XBL.

They are supposed to be showing off the distribution method at Gamefest this month (10 days). Plus announcing the winner of DBP, wouldn't get your hopes up about actually having it distributed this year but we should at least know how it will happen.

Ragu makes me laugh. I think they could have made it better (assuming the video is all there is) by having more fun hazards occuring to work your way through trying to prevent you.

I have also just checked out shuggy from Ghosts links.

At first I thought it was a buy the numbers platform get collector (from the vid & screens), man I wasn't expecting what I got at all. (only played first 10 or so levels)

It a really amazing puzzler/platformergem collector.

Animation, sound and art are so good, along with menu and level structure but on top of the really solid gem collecting platforming some levels throw twists at you from using other creatures in the level, using yourself or multiple copys of your actions in different times to fliping and spinning the whole level around.

Really impressed so far on first demo played, its such high quality.

Some of those are really fantastic. Good to see the small development community is still alive.

I didn't have a clue what was going on in Ragu. :lol

checked out the prototype of Proximity,

Its a really soild consept, you would think its a conversion of a existing puzzle or board game, plenty of maths but allot easyer to get into than Sudoku, Just had an epic battle with the AI who got all the good numbers :( was fun tho.

Could see this being fun online with three other people but only in multiplayer could I see it shining.

Just checkout out chaos the last of the three I can download and play.

Only made it to level 2 :(

The point of the game was you are a little circle (Atom?) in space along with others who are flying around like crazy and you have to slow them down to the required speed to calm the chaos and progress to the next level, you can do this by bumping them but the main method is using your repeller beam with the right thumbstick.W
When your doing it along with the chill music its a really enjoyable and relaxing experience but more often than not for me I'd mess it up, accidentally speeding up my atoms and causing mayhem, pretty soon they were flying everywhere and crashing into me with far too much speed ending the level.

As it stands for me it was far too hard but the concept if evolved correctly could turn into something really cool tho I'd drop the now over used XBLA geowars style.

The game has the art style of GeoWars and the music of flow.

:lol Neither did I at first I kept looking at the bees andwhat they were doing. Then second time round I realised you're trying to make the flower grow.

only wish i'd finished mine in time. damn laptop dying :D

cool to see some of these, can't wait for winner and hope to see it downloadable.

Dishwasher looks ****ing amazing. Brutal.

I'm tempted to say that I don't think they'd let something that violent onto XBLA, but they already have MK3, so.

Yeah, it's also explained in one of the Youtube comments:

The goal of the game is to make your flowers grow. Each bee is part of a team, which has a color. Each team has one or more flowers which they can grow by making sure it rains on them.

The larger the flowers are, the more points they generate for their team, and the first team to score 300 points wins!

Would be cool if all of them ended up being available on Xbox Live Arcade, don't see any reason for that not to happen.

And that Hurrican game looks balla
