Not particularly Bioshocking, but good to see none the less. I'm curious what kind of a drop it had, when the accompanying text goes up.

cw_sasuke

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free
3 fuckin brain trainer in the top 5 :lol :lol :lol

Not Wario
GOOOOOOOOOOO Bioshock!!!!

See, this is when gamers should be excited about sales- when great games make it, not when their system of choice is holding 6 of the top 10 spots with Harry Potter, Madden, or some other guaranteed to sell shit.

12 Wii games are up there. Nice!

It seems like games like RE4: Wii and others had higher shipments, but Wii Play dropped a ton. Also, Tiger Woods 07's worst enemy is 08. The Wii version is doing really well worldwide.

It's part of a Supply-Side policy meant to increase productivity such that the AS curve increases and brings about benefits such as increased NY, lower unemployment, and a lower GPI. Oh, and it'll make the BoP go up too.

Yeah, I've been mugging for Economics prelims.

Plus these four
REAL slow
from the full price chart.

Edit:Yeah I'm slow.

Bioshock is holding strong. Why did Big Brain Academy Wii move from 16 to 4 but Wii Play drops from 5 to 20? That's pretty weird. Boogie debut was decent, considering it's a new casual game.

What the heck. New numbers on Labor Day?

Well, we don't have none of that "Labor Day" bullshit here in the UK.

Good to see Bioshock hold that top spot, also Blue Dragon sticking up there. Not so good to see that Brain Academy bullshit still up there. Will be many disappointed people buying that crap, letdown total. Zelda should be higher, that ain't good. And I'm surprised the 360 version of Tiger Woods outsold the Wii version.

I might be wrong, but BBA was originally listed as full price in some stores. This has now been fixed and it's being sold at it's reduced 29.99 € price.

A resurgent ‘Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree’ climbs from No23 to No6 thanks to renewed stock, while Ubisoft’s ‘Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2’ sneaks back up the chart from No10 to No7. ‘Stuntman: Ignition’ from THQ starts its engines at No9 in the All Formats Chart, while the PC expansion packs from Sega (‘Medieval II: Total War – Kingdoms’) and NCSoft (‘Guild Wars: Eye of the North’) debut at Nos 16 and 18 respectively. Unlike ‘Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree’ a lack of stock pushes ‘Wii Play’ out of the Top 10 from No5 to No26.

Zelda was released 9 months ago. It's impressive that it still charts at all.

Considering the amount of Wiis that are still being sold every week, I would expect Zelda to be top of their lists.

Zelda: TP should be higher? It's been on the charts since its release in late '07. :lol

Why champion Blue Dragon's sales and shit on Wii Degree's? Just because BD is an RPG doesn't make it deserving of top sales. It's not even that much higher than Wii Degree is on GameRankings.

And Tiger Woods 07 is still selling really well on Wii. I really don't think that many people would "upgrade" so soon, especially when just a few weeks ago Tiger Woods was in the Wii's top five.

Possibly. Only other release that day is Stranglehold 360.

Because having played a bulk of it lately (competitively), I can safely say I fucking hate Big Brain Academy Wii Degree. It is shallow, the same stuff comes up repetetively, and it has worse production values than an amateur porn movie. Anyone who thinks this shit is good should play Buzz! and see how games of this genre should be done properly.

And yes, Zelda TP should be fucking higher! That an RE4 are the only AAA games on Wii at the moment, and with 35k Wiis being sold every week here I want to see them both up as high as possible. No-one should own a Wii and not buy Zelda.

So, you just checked GameRankings to justify your statement? Come back when you've actually played both games yourself.

Yeah in a perfect world it would sell 20 million, but it's at least well on it's way to become the second best-selling Zelda of all time. (Who knows, it might even topple OoT in the end if you count the GC version too.)

When are we getting the "3rd parties don't sell on Wii" comments in here soon?

Usually it's already here by 2-3 posts in - I mean, I'm pretty sure most of them can go to such level by saying that Ninty still has the most games sold out of the 9 Wii games.

RE4Wii still hanging in there. Not bad. Glad to see BioShock doing well too. Between all the licensed shovelware and "non-games", quality is still appreciated by the people.

Good for Tiger Woods Wii considering the great continued sales of 07.

Wow you're angry.

Yes, Zelda should be picked up by each and every person who owns a Wii, and I would be happy to dream the dream with you on that. But the simple truth of the matter is, it won't be; with the growing audience of Wii owners and all this Blue Ocean expanding doohickeymabob, not everyone has the motivation and/or a spare 30-odd hours to devote to the most recent big Legend of Zelda title, and if these lapsed gamers of old had no interest in the last bunch of Zelda titles they certainly ain't going to be starting yet.

What is happening, however, is that Twilight Princess is managing to keep some pretty damn good staying power especially for a Nintendo game in the UK charts, and it seems to be doing well the world over too (Maybe relatively poor in Japan, but even then I'd say 450,000-odd isn't something to be sneezed at.) I could see it keep momentum for a little longer at this rate and have some respectable sales when all is said and done. In fact, I reckon once Phantom Hourglass and Smash Bros. Brawl come out in Europe in late 2007 and early 2008, respectively, it'll reinvigorate sales for Twilight Princess too. It's not dead yet.

In my experience Buzz gets pulled out at only parties for a single play through (usually 2 people to a buzzer), Wii Degree gets played constantly (once a week) by the girls and then occasionally as the board game multiplayer mode by all of us. Singstar gets most PS2 party time but rarely gets single player action, same with WarioWare on the Wii (about equal with Wii sports).

Personally I really like BBA:WD - I thought the original was too shallow but the expert difficulty levels and the comparing scores over WiFi really adds replay to it.

So the "Wii owners don't buy software" argument is out.

The "Wii owners won't buy third party games" argument is out.

So we're reduced to claiming that a 9 month old game that has already sold millions and millions should be higher in the chart?

I'm just astounded on NoA's stupidity in pricing BBA:WD at the full $50 price here while it receives a budget price anywhere else.
I'm definitely not getting the game unless they priced it lower.

Go Blue Dragon!. You're barely in the top 10, but you're there nontheless. You go girl *clicks fingers*!.

Also why the heck is Tiger woods Pga tour on ps2 at 24 whilst the 360's enters at number 5 what the frigg is going on there.

Zelda sales are being 'stolen' by RE:4 - it's not seen as from an adult franchise in the UK unless you slap a 15/18 on the cover. Still the best game I played last year mind, and yeah everyone should be forced to play it, but blokes picking up a Wii for the wife & kids are choosing Resi as the first choice title that they get to play when they have all gone to bed.

That & a sports title anyway, the release of which is incidentally what caused Resi & Zelda to rise in the charts. Wii stocks are outstripping those of Wiimotes and Wii Play in the UK at the moment causing lots of people to get upset when only being able to do 1 player games :D

What didn't you like about it?

Didn't want to buy it after the less than favourable reviews but my gf bugged me, so... It's basically a karaoke game (that part is actually not broken, like 1up wants to make you believe) with a shallow dancing part. I guess you just hate karaoke games?

So the "Wii owners don't buy software" argument is out.

The "Wii owners won't buy third party games" argument is out.

So we're reduced to claiming that a 9 month old game that has already sold millions and millions should be higher in the chart?

For fucks sake, this isn't about the Wii, it's about Zelda.

Ok fine..but I just don't see how you can be that disappointed in its performance. What other 06 title is still on the charts? Unless you're talking DS type legs, I just don't see how that is at all disappointing.
