Puzzle Quest.

I feel like 100% i gota get picross because its 19.99.

Whats the consensus gaf!

Picross is fantastic as is (as you know already) Meteos. I have Tetris as well, but all my puzzle gaming has been dedicated to Picross since I picked it up.

You seriously can't go wrong with anything on that list. I own all of them.

Picross or Planet Puzzle League. Both are equally as good, and worth owning both if you like your puzzle games.

Pretty much. DS has some great puzzlers. Only caveats being that Puzzle Quest is buggy as hell and some people don't like Tetris's infinite spin. I enjoyed both though.

I'm loving Picross, never played it before - it's fantastic :D

Meteos should be cheap by now. Why not get Picross and Meteos? Nice puzzle combo right there.

Did you pick up New York Times Crosswords? I need to pick that one up.

Picross is the BEST puzzle game for the DS.

So damn addicting, I always tell myself 'just one more picture' and then another hour has gone by. :D

Depends what you're looking for in a puzzle game.

It's already been said but anything on your list is quality, just a matter of which style of gameplay will suit you best.

I've played Meteos, Puzzle Quest, and of course Tetris (...on Gameboy...), and would recommend Meteos if you want a more frantic puzzle game. Very well done but I prefer games like Tetris or Lumines... they're a bit more relaxing if that makes any sense.

Puzzle Quest is awesome just because of all the other stuff it has on top of being a pretty fun puzzle game to begin with. Highly addictive.

I should try Picross.

Picross is one of the best handheld games I've played in a long time.

The only problem is that higher levels can take 10 minutes to complete so my legs always fall asleep on the toilet.

Picross, then Puzzle Planet League.

Meteos isn't really that good, and I don't like the DS's version of Tetris (and how you can avoid locking your block to the field by spamming rotate.) Although Tetris does have online multiplayer.

Tetris is fantastic online. I'm sure PPL is too if you get good at it but for me...Tetris is probably the best Nintendo online game, Wii or DS. I'd pick it just for that.

This is how I would rank them:

1. Planet Puzzle League (Wifi plus voice chat)
2. Tetris DS (wifi)
3. Picross DS (dlc)

Also Circuit City will be having a "Buy One, Get One ½ Off on ALL Handheld Games" sale starting on Sunday (9/9 - 9/15). So you should pick up two DS puzzle games!

Holy crap! I'm there Sunday morning.

I own almost every puzzle game on the DS. Gunpey, Konductra, and Trioncube are pretty much the only not-obviously-shitty DS puzzle games that I wouldn't recommend.

QuickSpot, while obviously a B-grade puzzler, is surprisingly underappreciated.

If I had to pick one game from that list, I'd pick Picross.

Picross is the most complete of all of those games and has a good online community on GAF.

There's 15 x 11 x 2 + 15 puzzles in the game + more online from friends + nintendo just released a classic pack for free on the net.

Puzzle Quest, but only if the DS is your only chance to play it. It's kind of shabby on the DS, and looks so much better on PSP (and if it's still coming to XBLA, even better).

Otherwise, Picross.

Ok so I went with yalls biggest recomendation and my original gut and grabbed picross for 19.99. Can't wait to learn this shit.

DS is the best puzzle platform since the PC. There's a new puzzler out called "Prism: Light the Way" that looks like it has a lot of potential. You have to get a beam of laser light to multiple targets by using mirrors, splitters, etc. It's a clone of an old PC game, but it was one of my favorite PC games.

PS: Polarium is good and very cheap, but there's not much in it. Pick up the GBA sequel (yeah, weird, I know) - it's huge, great, and also cheap.

tetris ds is great, but if you don't like the infinite spin design, you may be pining for the old tetris.

ppl is a bit overrated IMO, but still fun.

picross is all kinds of awesome.

nyt crossword has a huge amount of content and its pretty tough.

Out of your list these are the ones I own, I rank them in this order:

Tetris DS
Puzzle Quest
Picross DS
...
Meteos

May I suggest Polarium too?

What the fuck is this Picross game?

Meteos was pretty underwhelming.

Tetris DS and Planet Puzzle League are really the best choices. But I think PPL is a bit broken online and it doesn't even have as many online features as Tetris DS, which is probably the best online DS game. God, it's so fucking awesome. Maybe because I kick ass at it. The infinite spin doesn't really exist online. And if you need it, you suck anyway. I just abused it in single-player and got the highest score possible. I beat Tetris DS.

Enjoy.

I have all of them except PPL (yeah, yeah, I'll get it), but I've put far more time into Puzzle Quest than anything else. It's like some strange compulsion to beat it with all the character classes. Even though it nearly breaks itsself as you gain power and levels, it's just a great bejeweled twist.

Can you play it online competitively?

At this point, I've found I won't get addicted to a puzzler unless I can play it against people. At the moment, I'm hopelessly addicted to Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. And I rock at that too, even though I had never played it before.

Edit: Actually, maybe I will pick this up. It'll be my first DS purchase since PPL.
