Wow @ Stranglehold. Was expecting SPM to hit the heights of #1 this week due to all the in-store promotions, and the fact it's Mario + Wii.

Either way, next-gen is definitely current gen in the UK - 21/40 on current-gen consoles, only 4/40 on last-gen consoles (PS2).

Go Super Paper Mario!! Woohoo!!
TW 08 Wii is also charting higher than TW 08 360 and PS2 - did EA actually advertise it in UK?

Seems Bioshock went out ot top 10 and why oh why are MoH and Stranglehold taking top 2 spots? The very definition of average mediocre games....sigh.

All in all, good sales for every system except PSP as usual....

Haha Europe boycotting Super Paper Mario. It would have been number 1 had it been released in April I'm sure.
Maybe then NoE will try to make sure they release PAL games faster - or maybe not since we can always trust them to dissapoint PAL gamers.

Edit: Nvm, looks like it was out for only 2 days.

wii plays sales always depend on stock

Yeah it has been completely sold out here in the Netherlands for a couple of weeks now. (Yeah I know this is the UK chart but still)

Yes, UK boycotting Super Paper Mario. That's right. Loads of people here have decided to boycott it because of the delay. Not.

As for me, I was going to pick up this and HS on Friday. But in the end I decided to fuck them both and wait for patiently for Halo 3 next week.

and everyone knows why wii play sells lol.

Because it is fantastic fun for the whole family?
Includes additional free Wii Tennis controller?

IMPORTANT INFORMATION MUST BE CAPITALIZED SO IT'S EASIER TO SEE.
Thanks for fixing that shit up.

Important information must be capitalised my arse (yes, that's 's', not 'z' here in the UK, you know, in Europe). Get some glasses. Respect to the OP please.

Stranglehold has had a great opening. Heavenly Sword's is decent. Unfortunately I got chance to play them both over the weekend, terrible games imo :(

Nice to see the great SPM doing well though :)

Encouraging for 3rd parties to see Wii Tiger Woods the top selling sku by a pretty big margin. Nice to see BBA Wii holding up. It's a really fun game, especially multiplayer, and even better than the DS version imo.

Bioshock has fallen, which isn't surprising. 360's having a nice run of top selling titles recently, and Halo 3 is coming soon and is sure to become 360's biggest opening week.

EDIT-
Not surprising, but still a shame not to see Tingle even chart in the DS top 30 :(

Lol, thanks :D

I'm testing this new formatting, if anyone want changes just tell...

The splorgenblurb, based on All Formats, All Prices chart:

17/Sep/2007

EA’s ‘Medal of Honor: Airborne’ is still flying high at the top of the All Formats Chart, fighting off competition from THQ’s ‘John Woo Presents Stranglehold’ for Xbox 360 which debuts at No2 (but ahead of MoH, at No1 in the Xbox 360 Chart).

All of the three new entries that break into the All Formats Top 10 this week are exclusives released on differing formats, bringing the total of All Formats Top 10 format-exclusives up to 7. Nintendo has the next highest new entry with ‘Super Paper Mario’ on Wii at No4, while Sony’s ‘Heavenly Sword’ on PS3 begins life at No7. All three Top 10 new releases top their respective Charts. ‘Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08’ drops one place to No3, but EA’s ‘The Sims 2: Bon Voyage’ manages to hold on to No8 for a second week. Codemasters’ ‘Colin McRae: Dirt’ re-enters the All Formats Top 40 at No11 thanks to the release of the PS3 version, while ‘Rugby 08’ enjoys a surge in sales due to the World Cup, up from No40 to No22. ‘Forza Motorsport 2’ is back in the All Formats Top 40 at No37 as a result of the launch of a new promotional Microsoft Entertainment bundle.

The universe hates me today. I can do no right. I call confpirasy :(
Read that again, especially the second sentence, the one after the first :(
"Thanks for fixing that shit up."

Haha, RE4Wii hanging at the exact same spot as last week.

Bioshock's drop doesn't appear particularly drastic, especially since it's hung around the very top of the charts for a while already. Go Bioshock!

Expected HS to do better. I mean look at how much MotorStorm and Resistance have sold! But I guess those are due to bundles and they're both closely associated with the PS3, so they have great attach rates and legs. We'll see how Heavenly Sword does over the next few weeks..

Has anyone seen any HS ads in the UK?

Nice showing for Tiger Wii but it doesnt deserve it to be honest. I hope they add online and actually improve on the game for 09. Thats when the sales will really take off.

You were wrong mr you said super paper mario would be top this week. I have to say though i'm surprised it isn't seeing the many adverts for it iv'e seen. And blue dragon is on the chart...but two worlds is still higher.

HELLO EVERYONE. Heavenly Sword was released on the 14th. These numbers are for the week ENDING the 15th. This means these numbers are for TWO days of Heavenly Sword sales. TWO DAYS and it makes it to number 6. Plus it's on the PS3.

Yes I have seen some ads - but there needs to be more.

Nice debut for Heavenly Sword. Will be interesting to see how it does on the charts in the next few weeks.

Yes I have seen some ads - they must have worked, because i think that's quite a feet.
Not as much of a feat as Stranglehold being out for 2 days and making No.1

Yeah, there is a TV ad.

Dunno about what sort of marketing there is at retail as I don't really go to any stores.

There is? on what channels? I honestly haven't seen a PS3 as since March, maybe I have been watching the wrong things, heh.

Good start for SPM, Boogie, Tiger etc still going well, RESI4 hanging in there, Listen Capcom, we want more games like that for Wii :D

Bioshock dropped 9 places to number 11. Wow.

Expect RE5:Wii port with the better controls than RE4:Wii and new features/storyline exclusive to Wii.

Doesn't seem too crazy of an idea now, especially with Capcom.

Of course, they might go the smarter route by not announcing the Wii-port a month before the 360 version is released in order to not shortchange the 360 version sales.
Course, this is Capcom - so expect them to fuck it out somehow.

Isn't that why a game like HS needs to have a stronger debut?

We'll see! i think that's pretty good for 2days. But we'll see. Need to be ads on more channels though!

The only ads I've seen are on Skysports. Whereas all Wii games sponser every program on ITV - literally EVERY program. Sony should sponser some stupid reality TV show.:lol
