Shooter fans rejoice! Raiden Fighters Aces comes to 360!

Sweet. Excellent news, considering I'm getting a 360 soon.

Hope this reaches North American shores. We got Raiden III, so I'm hopeful.
 
i <3 the raiden fighters series, but i'll rejoice when it turns out to be region free, or when someone picks it up for us release :/

I almost think they could release a few of these on XBLA and it would almost do better.

This has come to the US. US is 360's largest territory. I'd be shocked and saddened if this didn't come out on 360 here.

Agreed. I think a retail version may actually hurt it's sales more than help.

Still, day one for me, if it's released over here.

At least this is three games in one. Shikigami no Shiro is an absolute disgrace at full price.
 
A compilation like this marketed at $30 would do well enough for a small publisher to bring it over. Ubi being stupid about Wartech should not be the gauge of future shooter releases at retail (or lack there of).
 
Hurray! I'm not a big shooter fan but I love the Raiden series! I've never played Raiden Fighters but I'll be sure to pick it up if it's localized!
 
Awesome! I'm totally there on day 1. Any info on Raiden 4 hitting consoles? I wrote a small review of Raiden 4 in the arcades, and ever since then, I've been fiending for a release of the game...

I thought I read somewhere that Raiden 4 was being brought over to the US by UFO. Don't know whatever happened to that.

But SnS3 is more recent graphically, has additional modes, 10 characters, plus the Live stuff. Raiden Fighters is probably going to be a straight port of the old arcade games + Live.

Not that I think the price is appropriate...
 
Dude, they HAVE to bring this to the US. I'd buy it even if I get the import. :lol

And they need to add Viper Phase 1 to this compilation.

I thought nothing short of human sacrifice was ever going to get a Raiden Fighters game ported to home consoles.

This is awesome! REALLY FUCKING AWESOME!!!
BUT THERE'S MORE!

Details:
- Includes Raiden Fighters, Raiden Fighters 2, and Raiden Fighters Jet.
- Superplay DVD included.(FUCK YEAH)
- Uses Xbox Live for Replay upload/download as well as Score Rankings.(WOOT)
- Tate modes included.(YES)

Again it looks like the 360 is becoming the 2D shooter console of choice for this gen. My arcade stick is going to see a ton of use.

Next up: Mahou/Garegga/Batrider/Bakraid/Dimahoo compilation PLEEEEEEEAAAAASSSEEE!?!?!?!?!
 
This is an awesome compilation. The Raiden Fighters series is great. Obviously needs a domestic release; the more games that make it here to get people to maybe start shutting up about Ikaruga, the better. :angst:

I expect it to make it here, though, as talked about in other threads.

I wonder what the status of these games are. I'm assuming Yagawa doesn't have the rights (not that Cave would do anything like a console release :( ), but does Eighting? Not that they'll ever release anything outside of animu-based lite fighting games. :(

Good news, makes me almost upset I have a bunch of the original arcade boards for these. I always thought these would never come to console so I slapped down cash for the PCBs. Raiden Fighters Jet FTW!
 
I can't believe I didn't even know about this until today. Shame is what I feel.

Adding Viper Phase 1 would have made this flawless but it's already 3 of the best shooters around so I'm very happy. Unlike most people I like Jet better than Fighters 2. Hope this finds it's way to the US in some form.

+100 cred for mentioning Viper Phase 1. It needs to be the "New Version" though. If it had all those versions I could sell my PCBs.
 
I hope this gets a North American release. Come on, we have the userbase. Someone bring it over or put it on XBLA.
