World of Goo=New Wii(Ware?) game

Enduin

No bald cap? Lies!
World of Goo is a physics based puzzle / construction game. The millions of Goo Balls that live in the beautiful World of Goo don't know that they are in a game, or that they are extremely delicious.
PC / Wii - coming 2008

I'm guessing WiiWare title. Looks pretty cool, definitely seems like a perfect WiiWare title. Searched found nothing, beat and maim if old.

Developer is 2D Boy. Website here.

Download its Prototype/Predecessor.

Game Trailer Here.

I do believe this game had a thread on this forum before where people were sucking its nuts.

more like Bridge Builder rip-off.

But I like it :]

Yeap, BridgeIt rip off...

But the game looks great.

Check out Tower of Goo which is similar (but early prototype), to see how the physics work ;)

Oh shit I take that back. Just watched the trailer and that looks absolutely fantastic. Really digging the music, too. Hope it's in game.

I'd pay $10 for that, I have no interest in playing it for more than a few hours so don't go giving me "oh well it might have 100 levels"

$10 is how much I'd honestly play for this scaled up flash game.

Son of a bitch, I searched high and low. I guess all the words are too small and common for the search to filter it all out. No matter, mine's prettier and more popular.
It might be prettier, but more popular is not. :P
And mine's older! :D

Anyway who cares, let's just hope the project comes out well!

WiiWare doesn't deserve a game that looks this good..

Gamers have seriously heightened their standards on what they'd pay full price for..but the good thing is that I know a fair few members on GAF would pay full price for a game like Knytt stories or Satan Sam.

I'd pay full price for this..

The game looks ridiculously awesome, and if it were to last me at least 5-10 hours I'd probably be willing to pay up to full price for it. Thankfully it should be WiiWare and much cheaper.

Also, the name would make a great porno title.

Sounds like a 1950's move title.

The Blob->World of Goo.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

From the title I thought it had something to do with the Goo Goo Dolls 3;

That would have been my reason to jump in, right there D;

DO WANT! This looks awesome and fun as hell!

I hope the Wiiware version has a multiplayer mode, this would be so fun in co-op or VS where you race each other :D

Hope that music is in too!

This makes me want a wii platformer where player one has a utility like a grappling hook or bridge builder or something and player two actively tries to destroy the world while player one runs to his goal. Like Mario Galaxy, but with an evil star.

I wonder how expensive these wiiware games will be? $15 minimum? :(

I think Squares game is being released at 15 dollars. I don't think you get much more effort then what Square is putting into its Wii Ware game. I would hope $15 is the maximum.

Well they are selling the PC version at $20, so it could be that high. It all depends on how much content there is. If its a good 5 hours long with worthwhile replay then thats reasonable, if its not then lets hope they can bring it down to 15.

Wii Ware prices are 100% up to the Developer/Publisher.

If you wanted to sell a game for 100 points ($1) you could! or 2576 points ($25.76) if you wanted too!

I played the free ware of this a couple years back... it looks like they have fleshed out the idea now. I had a lot of fun with it. I still have it installed on one of my harddrives:lol :lol

Up to developers, yes, but I think there is a lower limit. I doubt nintendo would want these games to be cheaper than their VC games (N64 = $10).

The game looks pretty neat. I'm glad it's a WiiWare title; now we just have to find out how long the game lasts...

Seems a lot like a LocoRoco rip-off, though I was pleasantly surprised when I opened this thread and saw the art style. Looks pretty good.

Disappointing, I came in this thread expecting a Creme Egg game:
