I'm posting this thread a little earlier than I normally would to raise awareness of the event itself...as it's seemingly come out of nowhere.

I'd hope not, since she won the flip last night and CHOSE to go first. Although, with the way it turned out, that was probably best for her.
 
Duh, Thursday in the middle of the night and I'll be in Germany with no access to a computer for most of Friday. Sucks.

I might miss this do to my job, any chances of being able to watch it without DVRing it... ABC isn't like CNN, so reruns will be hard to come by

One of the debates were streamed online simultaneously (I believe the CNN one), so there is hope you can catch it online.

Not sure how on the ball ABC is going to be for this.

Obama's current donation goal ends on my birthday...but I'm almost positive it doesn't mean anything.

Well, Republicans like Obama more, and Obama does say his wanting to work out policy differences with Republicans (ie compromise) marks a strict difference between him and Hillary. On some issues he's on the right of Hillary, and on others it's been hinted at that his positions are more for political maneuvering than genuine belief. Plus, apparently he's considered the more religious candidate.

Predictions
Hillary will not throw any lame punches. I'm guessing that she's learned her lesson from the Xerox comment, and will not pull out some cheesy one liner in an attempt to zing Barack.

Hillary will not get the first question.

There will be more character questions than issue questions in this debate.

This debate will end in a draw when the dust settles.

She didn't learn her lesson with the Xerox comment when she threw out the "SNL PROVES MEDIA BIAS, PULL UP A PILLOW FOR BARACK" shit.

Which was, if APF is keeping track, the actual most kindergarten level bullshit of the campaign trail so far.

Hillary has been witheringly negative lately. I wonder if she'll come out swinging, or try to put on the charm, ala "it's an honor to be here with you", "we'll all be okay" BS.
 
NPR has been saying all week that there is a presidential debate Thursday night that they are taking two hours to cover live. Anyone know what that is?
