Now now, it really is viral marketing for the movie. No rules against that right? Piece of friendly trivia: James Cameron used to be a truck driver! Coincidence? I THINK NOT.
 
Well I only saw the updated title, but the joke was actually pretty good.

Though we did lose one, it may have been well worth it.

I think the ban was justified, but why so long, rickrolling is only a month?
 
I think there should be a clause that, the funnier these threads are, the less likely you are to get banned. I think this is funny enough to fall under that defense, myself.

That would be even dumber, because then people would risk create all sorts of threads just to see if they're funny enough to NOT get banned. I think this is pretty funny myself, but that doesn't change the fact that threads like this should NOT be encouraged. No excuses.

Definitely. It worked so well because it was coming from such a T2/Cameron fan.

Maybe he will be quietly restored early but duckroll is hoping that the severed head on the gate will keep this from happening again? 3 months is a LOT.
 
I say pardon him, it was genuinely funny and people weren't bothered by it. It was just some random humor... its needed every once in a while!
 
I thought it was funny. Even with the edited thread title. Scullibundo is no scalliwag, he's just a wag.

I'm a big believer in doing as much as possible on a case-by-case basis, even if it's inconvenient. I see where you're coming from though.

On that note, I also don't think anybody needs to scare folks into not making these sorts of threads because most people should know how annoying they typically are 99% of the time.
