It's time for round two.

I expect a larger crowd to participate in this one, so I will run registrations a bit longer than last time.

If you are willing to help me sort out the final list or send PM's, please PM me cause I could really use the help. (The last one took around 5 hours to get sorted and send the PM's and it was during finals week.)

If you would like to participate, please include the following in your reply post:

- Your Location (United States)
- Tips on what types of candy you would enjoy the most. (Chewy/Hard, Chocolate/Fruity)

Once you do this, you will be entered in a pool. I will match you with someone who is from a different country. The majority of GAF users seem to be from the USA, so people outside of the US will probably be matched with a user from the US just so I can make sure everyone gets a different country at least. If you absolutely do NOT want to be matched with a US swapper, then let me know and I can see what I can do, but I wont make any promises.

When you have been matched, I will send both users a PM with all the information you need. You can then further discuss the details of the swap with your swap partner. You must decide on a price range if you wish to have one.

-- Important Information --

The candy/snacks should be packaged properly. Individually wrapped or still sealed from the purchase.

Candy needs to be legitimate. Homemade candy is fine as long as it is like a specialty candy from a small business and is packaged properly.

Don't make homemade candy and put it in a ziploc bag and send it. The purpose of this swap is to get your hands on goodies that are rare or not found in your location.

I will be keeping this thread updated with a list of the registered users. If it has been a few days and your name doesn't show up on the above list PM me to make sure I got your registration!

I'm sorry fellas, you don't have to include your name. You can edit them out if you'd like.

It's a bit late and I'm only running on caffeine right now. You will send your names after the PM's have been sent out.

I'm thinking of joining but i'm not sure how to ship it to another country. What's the fastest way?

edit: from the US

I used USPS, they have a flat rate shipping box which was 37$. Kinda steep but I sent off 8 pounds of candy to Australia.

My partner and I decided to spend 20$ on each other, so altogether it was around 60$. It's kinda expensive for candy, but it was a very fun to get a bunch of strange candy in the mail.

I'm sure there are probably cheaper options if you aren't sending as much candy as I did.

Alright sign me up. But i have a limit i'm a poor going-to-be college student with no job =/

Salvador
California - US
Any type of candy

I'm interested, but I don't really know what goodies there are in Australia that aren't available overseas. Most of it seems the same to me. Also, I'd like to know how much it costs to ship overseas for this.

Los Angeles (US)

Toronto, ON Canada

Well, my partner was in Australia and I didn't receive a single type of candy that was available in the States. Once you are matched up with your partner, you can discuss all the candies that are available in your region so you can avoid sending each other candy they can already get!

About shipping, the best thing you could do is go to your nearest courier and ask them directly! Just tell them what you plan on shipping and where you would like to ship it. I'm sure that they would be more than glad to help you out. When I shipped my candy, the woman I spoke to told me all the options I could take and I decided on a flat rate box. Flat rate boxes basically mean you pay one flat price and if you can fit it in the box then they will ship it. I paid 37$ and it was a rather large box. It was the second largest, and there were cheaper/smaller boxes available. I just couldn't fit all my goods into the smaller ones.

I hope that helps!

PM me his username, I will make sure he isn't allowed to register this time.

Toronto, Canada.

Prefer hard stuff. Absolutely nothing sour though.

Anyone reading this please provide suggestions on what is unique in Canada because I don't know that much about unique candies.

How much do you guys usually send? I just sent a candy box out to the US last week and it was 20$ shipping for just up to 2kg and without tracking (so no shipping insurance). Wonder if that would be enough.

I'm from London, UK
From anywhere, but I really would love some OFF-THE-WALL, over-the-top stuff that's unique to your country (obviously).

-US and Mexico available
-I'd like stuff from Japan or UK
-I'd like chewy chocolate or fruity stuff. Also, I'd like to try some jaffa cakes once. :D

Lets try this again. Last time I didn't get a response from my partner.

Offers: Dutch candy
Wants: US candy (preferably chocolate) :)

I'm willing to spend about $50 including shipping.

Wiesbaden - Germany

Interests:

Chocolate, sour, sweet- nearly erverything.

My gf likes butterfinger, bc it's not available here in Germany.

Sign me up bauce, I'm in the UK with more sweets than you can shake a dentists bill at.

Would like any local stuff of interest anywhere in the world but am especially fiending for Vanilla Coke at the mo.

Not once but many times - Jaffa's are like Pringles, you just keep panning em till there's none left.

And US Sour Skittles <3

Are they different from the UK Sour Skittles?

Very much so :D I never ever thought the UK ones were sour. The US ones have sort of a sour powdery coating on them, theyre amazing.

i'm down for another swap. the last one went swimmingly!!! I'm still stretching those sour cola bottles out, Romeo!

Atlanta, GA, USA
I like gummy candies. In fact, I adore them, along with any specialty candies found only in your area. No skittles or m&m's or things we can get anywhere pls.

Man, this thread is so awesome, but due to work I don't know if I have the time available to do this, due to irregular working schemes and shifts.

I don't mind entering.
Getting candy from the other side of the world is always cool :)

Porto, Portugal here.
Will try to get something that isn't sold anywhere else except here :)

Raleigh, North Carolina, USA

I don't really have much of a preference, just make sure you throw in some chocolate with whatever else you pick.

Preferably, I'd like to swap with someone in Europe or Japan.

Definitely interested in this one.

Location: West Los Angeles, CA
A little of everything that does not include nuts. I'm not allergic or anything, but I just don't like nuts mixed in with stuff (may contain peanuts disclaimer are OK though.) Absolutely no coconut too.

Me ME!
Parkersburg, West Virginia

I like everything except stuff with actual fruit in it and stuff with nuts in it. No coconut. I like sour, sugary, gummy, Peanut butter, and chocolate stuff.

Chocolate is appreciated, but actually anything is nice as long as it doesnt have an orange taste/look (like the fruit). It's ok if a part of it is, like with a bag of whinegums, but not allll orange things :)

This sounds really interesting. I'm definitely willing to give it a try.

I'm from Auburn, AL, USA. I'd prefer chocolates, but really I'm up for anything you want to put in front of me.

i'm in again!

location: munich, germany.
willing to ship internationally.

likes: mainly chocolate, gums/gummy candy or sodas.
and anything really special or very limited to your region

dislikes: liquorice
