Background info:
When you click on a link, your browser notes the current page that you are on and sends that information (the HTTP "referer" header) to the server of the new web page. This way the server of the new web page knows which page you viewed last. In famitsus case, if you're coming from another site you'll simply be kicked off. If you block referrer information, the server of the page you are requesting will not know what page you came from. Some servers deny access to their pages if that happens, others (like famitsu) serve the page nonetheless. This policy is left to the server or site operator, so it is sure to change from site to site.
Workarounds:
The *usual* way of sending an empty referer is clicking in the address bar and hitting enter once you're encountering the error page. Otherwise open a new tab and copy&paste the URL over.
If you're using <advertisement>Opera, the best browser ever</advertisement> you can press F12 (or option-F12 if you're using OSX).
Uncheck this:

...or use the "edit site preferences" tool accordingly (which is actually the preferred way of doing this).
If you use the OTHER acceptable browser, use a plugin (there are alternatives) or modify a setting. If you choose to fiddle with the setting instead of installing a plugin, make sure you know what you're doing.
Warning:
Keep in mind that disabling referrers globally will screw up some sites and clashes with the netiquette, so change it back after you're done. Operas' site preferences or most plugins on Firefox will make that setting site-specific so you needn't worry about that, it will be applied to famitsu only.
Oh it is. That's why it's awesome.Tenbatsu said:Hope its not old.
RefControl is your friend.Jonnyram said:Disabling referrer logging will totally fuck you on some sites, and it's not a cool thing to do from a web provider point of view. Just hit enter in the URL bar![]()
I vote Salamander Rebirth!!CTLance said:Is it greedy of me to want a Parodius rebirth as well? I am much too weaksauce for true Gradius, but the pure awesomeness of Parodius siphoned many a quarter out of my pockets when I was younger...
Other then that: yay!
While I totally agree with you I didn't want to write a three-page essay on the subject.Jonnyram said:Disabling referrer logging will totally fuck you on some sites, and it's not a cool thing to do from a web provider point of view. Just hit enter in the URL bar![]()

Unrelated, but an Axelay Rebirth would make my wallet hemorrhage money.Sir Alemeth said:I vote Salamander Rebirth!!![]()
an Axelay Rebirth would ROCK! I consider that game to be one of the best along with Contra III.CTLance said:Unrelated, but an Axelay Rebirth would make my wallet hemorrhage money.
Loved the game, but slowdown and flickering due to SNES technical limitations bugged me even back then. I'd hope that'd be a non-issue in a "Rebirth" rerelease.
