The art style is a complete rip off, but if you watch the trailer there is actually a lot of interesting innovations and differences in Rolando, so I guess it's not a complete rip like Snood/Puzzle Bobble was.

Pretty much, and locoroco clone or not a reasonably good game is a reasonably good game.
I've only played three levels so far, but it definitely is the most polished, well thought out iphone game I have ever seen. The 3D storybook overworld map, to how they address you as "finger" just everything about it says "im a real game."

Maybe its just because its so new and exciting, but this game is far better than I ever would have hoped it would be in my wildest dreams.

All I care about is if its a decent game. Either it will be or it won't based on impressions. I'm not going to stop buying a good game because it is similar to another good game no matter what the platform is.

The controls are OK when you only have to worry about one blob thing. But then there's those Prince bastards you have to escort and I got sick of the controls in about 10 seconds.

Yep, that's where it got annoying for me as well. I'm going to try deselecting all the rolandos and only use one of them to escort the prince to see if it's any better.

You have to sandwich him between two blobs to keep him from moving. Trying to get him to go up the first yellow lift they make you use nearly made me kill my phone.
