I might do it just for the Source, but can you buy steam games via just a browser? Won't install a windows partition till next week.
 
Done!. I got around to finishing HL2 earlier this year and was wondering about EP1 and EP2. Oh and TF2 is supposed to be pretty good. :D

It was also a cut chapter was it not? it did not fit well or something so they removed it, giving it out for free with the HDR effects at a later date. It's cool but my pc back then was too rubbish to use HDR well :D
 
bought it for TF2 i always wanted to try it out, i already played HL2
(never played EP1 & 2 though)

Just bought it. I had already bought Orange Box on 360 but wanted TF2 for PC due to the shit support for console versions. Cheers to the OP for the heads up.

Tell me about it. I bought TF2 for $10 back during the scout update. I haven't loaded up Orange Box for my 360 in months. The content gap is so damn huge.
 
Man, I really wanna like buy thing right now but here is the thing, I get bored very quick:

-Couldn't finish BioShock because it got pretty boring nearing the end.
-Stopped playing Crysis half way through because I wasn't enjoying it aymore for whatever reason.
-Enjoyed Crysis Warhead but never finished it either because it got boring for me.

However, I enjoyed and still enjoying Fallout 3, loved Warhammer 2: DoW, Left4Dead is awesome though.

What are the chances of me liking this game ?

TF2 = Best multiplayer team based game evar!
Portal = Best FPS puzzle game ever!

Probably Pyro or Medic. Heavy too, and if you're an experienced FPS PC gamer, probably Soldier as well.

- Pyro is easy to play, it's fun. But you will probably play it the wrong way opn your first atempts.
- Medic is the best class to learn the dynamics of the game and the scenarios, since you will have to follow your teammates.
- Heavy is a slow class, but medics will heal you like there's no tomorrow. You don't need to aim that much.
- Soldier has a rocketlaunher as the primmary weapon, but it's not as easy to kill with him as it may seem at first. If you have played with rockets in quake, then you'll be fine, I guess.

Engies and Spies should be forbidden for you, since you need to learn the scenarios and different routes. Scouts couldd be a good choice if you're an skilled player, they're the fastest class. If you've got great accuracy, try the Sniper (although it's pretty boring for me. Demos are the best class, they kill a lot but they're more complex than they may seem at first. I wouldn't recommend them as your first class.

Out of all that's included, you're likely to find something in it that you'll enjoy. Even if you only end up really liking one of the included games, you'll have gotten a good deal. Don't forget about all the free HL2 mods out there as well. SMOD, GMOD9, Insurgency, the upcoming Black Mesa Source, etc.

Alright. Thanks. Am currently playing Fallout 3 and Left4Dead right now so am just gonna go ahead and buy this and play it at a later date. Thanks again.

I'd probably start with a Soldier or Pyro. They don't take too much learning to be good at, and since they're a mostly offensive class you'll get to know the maps quicker. I would also give the Medic and Engineer a shot to see if they're your play-style, but definitely try a Soldier or Pyro out at first, then try the other classes.

Don't worry. It won't show as something you buy in that list. There are, I think, five tools in the OB. Some SDK stuff and two server files.

And i was about to buy episodes 1 and 2 from newegg for $10. This will be the first thing i've ever bought through steam.

while purchasing it i see this:

"The Orange Box: According to our records, you already own one or more of the items included in this package on Steam. If purchasing for yourself, see the Extra Copies support article to determine whether the items you already own can be shared with friends."

Wow steam really doesn't take advantage of you even when it easily could.
 
i never got this at first due to the price.. 10 bucks.. aweesome. Haha portal is so damn cool. The cake is a lie!!

Ah, found the article. It's very, very specific and seems to only apply to HL2 and its episodes.
