Trackmania coming to Wii !!!

wait what the fuck?

Since when did one of the recent Trackmanias have outdoor tracks and shit. I remember the very first one having a desert setting, but not the last couple ones (stadium only).

I'm totally out of the loop - that looked pretty fucking awesome, tbh.

Negative.. perhaps if it hits 360/PS3 i'd be more interested.

Ive already played the crap out of PCs versions in high res @ 60fps.

I thought I would be all about Trackmania DS, but when I actually started playing it, I realized that there was pretty much nothing interesting at all about it for someone who had played their share of the PC version. Probably the same case here.

Good for people afraid of their PC, though!

Good post.

With some tweaks, this could be an incredible console title. Even if you're limited to just the track editor.

The biggest obstacle is the console playerbase. I can already hear the complaints about not being able to ram other drivers off the road.

This. Exactly this. Trackmania United Forever is already one of the best arcade racers of all time and it can run on your computer right now. Yes, even yours.

It's been like that for a long time now. United has all the previous environment, and some new. Total of 7.

Yes, why oh why would someone want a game popular for custom tracks that can handle insane amounts of geometry and still look amazing to be on a console that could actually accommodate that? lol haters amirite!

"wait what the fuck?

Trackmania had Desert, Rally, and Snow. Trackmania Sunrise had Coast, Island, and Bay. All of which are fairly "outdoors." :-p. Sounds like this has Desert, Rally, Coast, Island and Stadium.

That video showed Stadium, Rally, and Coast (in that order).

Now Nadeo, this is all well and good, but show us something about Shootmania/Questmania!

However much truth there is to this, I think it would do great on PS3/360. As a download title with all the sharing on online capabilities as the PC version, there is no reason this wouldn't sell. I've introduced TM to a lot of different gamers, and I'm yet to meet someone that didn't find it fun!

Yes there would've been complains, no there wouldn't be many A+ reviews, but hell it would be popular :D

I passed on the DS version cause it didn't have sharing and online features like the PC version, and to me that took away 90% of the joy. I'm afraid this will happen to the Wii version as well... unfortunately.

motherfuckin YES

Probably no online modes. :(

Erm, they confirmed online in the video - he talked about lan - but since there is no lan on wii i guess he means wfc. there is also a 4player splitscreen mode, track editor is in, release q1 2010, classic /cube controller support.

Nations was Stadium only (and free)
United was the Trackmania environments (Desert, Rally, Alpine), the Sunrise environments (Island, Bay, Coast), and Stadium.

I'd guess you're thinking only of Nations when you stated "Stadium only", but the others have always been around.

There are at least two ghost cars in the rally environment, so it seems that online is in. It´s a shame that the game has no new environments (and not even all environments from United it seems), but it will probably still be great.

One plus side of the Wii version is that there will be no Nations, which means that there might actually be more then 2-3 servers with more then just the stadium environment.

The great thing I love about Trackmania (nations) is that you can race alone without seeing another car driving about but the track times are shown and you compete for best hotlap. This is how the wii version should do things if they don't want online with 16 cars whizzing around to lag things up.

Sweet! The DS version was surprisingly fun.

Because, you know, that was a HUGE problem in Mario Kart Wii.

-Online
-4 player split-screen
-Every environments from the PC version apart from "Bay"
-All the control scheme from Mario Kart apart from the GameCube's Controller
-Day and Night races
-Level Editor
-Level sharing online
-Early 2010

Looks like it's a no-brainer.

Day 1!

I LOVE Trackmania. It's a fucking awesome game! Hope this one gets a PC-like online mode - then it'll be a serious contender for the game of the year 2010 awards.

Great news. I'm really happy right now!

DS had ghost cars. It's just pre-recorded stuff to win medals against.

Meh, can't see any reason to buy this since I already have United Forever on the PC. Would it have killed them to add a single new environment?

I must've really looked at Nations only (I'm such a cheap bastard) - I wasn't even aware that United Forever also had different enviros.

Good stuff.

If a new Trackmania environment was launched on anything other than a PC release, I'd get homicidal.

Whatever happened to the moon environment, BTW? Was that just a rumor?

I always thought this would be a great network/community game for consoles. I hope this hits the PS3 and Xbox360. :D

I love love love Trackmania!!!
