I wonder if they meant to leave this in, because the MvC2 one is pathetic. :lol

WTF is Splosion Man? Sounds awful.

TMNT will be had on PSN. I much rather play a d-pad and face button game with the DualShock. edit: 1200 points? Are you fucking kidding me? Pass.

Trials seems like an exclusive ripoff to me, unless it has significant upgrades over Trials 2.

Shadow Complex Should be awesome.

I'm still slightly pissed about that one, actually. PSN gets the demo first and then gets screwed because of Microsoft or something? What the hell? (I'd rather it be day and date for both versions instead of damn two weeks, but meh...)

Not taking sides, but it seemed to have a great impact in the MVC2 thread where people with PS3s were mighty pissed.

The whole point for exclusive windows for these downloadable games are bragging rights and higher sales for your version among multi-plat owners. I think they got/get what they want. They know full-well these games aren't system-sellers and they aren't paying for that.

Wow, I didn't know Shadow Complex was an XLBA exclusive. That really, really sucks. I take it there won't be a PC version either then.

Huh, I guess I'll go play Super Metroid again. I still don't get why MvC2 is exclusive for two weeks though. I mean, seriously, PSN gets a demo, but then you have to wait longer? That's just a cruel means of business Microsoft :lol

Meh. The only one of those I'm interested in is Splosion Man, and I'll be buying it on XBLA when it comes out. Trials HD should be good but I already have it on PC.

A friend of mine said he was going to wait a month or two for splosion man to come out on steam like he did for the maw. Ill try to convince him to get it on 360 since it will be exclusive for a year.

What kind of gamer isn't at least interested in checking out Shadow Complex?

“Battlefield 1943” by DICE/EA
1200 Microsoft Points, 24 Hour Exclusive on Xbox LIVE Arcade

“Droplitz” by Blitz/Atlus
800 Microsoft Points, 24 Hour Exclusive on Xbox LIVE Arcade
They should totally do this. :lol

You see, with digital downloads, we can explore all different genres with exciting, innovative content. We can bridge generations by offering games you can't find in stores anymore for great prices, or develop all new concepts. The best thing about digital delivery is that while the retail space has been mostly tied down to a few generic categories, specifically the shooter, driving, sports, and music genres, downloadable games offer developers the chance to develop whatever they want without fear of their game getting lost in the bargain bins. You can take a smaller budget and capitalize on the growing trend of downloadable games!

You're a PS3 owner? Oh. You can wait.

I don't know. What kind of gamer am I?

Might check out the demo, but it just doesn't look appealing to me. Plus, it's from Epic - a developer I've lost a lot of respect for lately.

Epic really does not have anything to do with it, the game has been in development for a while even before epic bought chair.

And it's not like PSN doesn't have a load of exclusives? What's your point?

I'd be willing to be they've had something to do with it since they bought Chair though. This has Epic's name all over it.

"Summer of Arcade" is only five games?

4 or 5 last year as well, no?

That PSN exclusives should be exclusive and everything else should be multiplatform.

But goddam I'm pissed this is looking like it won't hit PC.

It's by Chair.

Developer of the Xbox Live Arcade classic 'Undertow'.

...

:lol

That third party exclusivity wars over downloadable games makes no sense. Sony publishes quite a few of the best PSN exclusives.

There's no problem with demographic, no issues with system power inhibiting a downloadable game. And when it sells better on one system compared to another, the company is still in business.

Hmmm. Tempted to not get Turtles on 360 after all now if its just a month later on PSN :lol I'm surprised Sony doesnt actively release stuff like this rather than just staying quiet. I wouldnt have known the PSN Turtles version was so soon if it wasn't for this fuck up :lol

Seriously? :lol Well I hated Undertow when I got it for free, too. :P

My opinion about the game still stands. Don't like Metroidvania games.

By your logic one shouldn't play SotN if they already have Super Metroid.

No, it's just that to me, past those two games, the "metroidvania" genre just hasn't gone anywhere. I'm not going to be entirely sold on a game just because it openly admits to cribbing the idea that someone else had.

Any 3rd party exclusive for digital content is pretty sad in the first place.
No, it's not. It's offer and acceptance. And if it didn't matter at all, no one would be doing it. Depending on the title, it clearly matters to MS (and Sony and Ninty) very much...so much so that they pay for it (subsidizing or funding title's development) and/or ask for such a deal in the publishing agreement. This isn't 80s Communist Russia here, buddy. Of course, you already knew this.

Ah, I see. That particular genre is probably my favorite, so whether they stole ideas or not, if it's a solid entry into the genre, I'm all for it.
