So, what are the changes from the original Persona to this version?
Well, for us non-Japan folk, we get the Snow Queen quest (not in the original release of Persona), new graphics, shorter load times, and some new gameplay things to use, like speeding up battles and being able to save almost anywhere. Gogo portables!
So will the localization be much better than the original one?
Of course! Atlus USA has come a long way since those days, and this one gets a good fixing compared to the release way back when. Don't worry, there won't be content missing or someone's race suddenly changing to another. To see some things relating to that, read the PS Blog post by Nich Maragos: Link
Wow! I loved Persona 3 and 4 I can't wait for--
Hold it! Before you jump in blindly, keep in mind that Persona 1 and 2 had some differences between the latter Persona games we've seen in the last couple years. Like, no social links! There's some noticeable differences, but remember to research so you don't expect one thing, then get something entirely different. Informed buyers are happy ones!
Why is the PSN release delayed / why does it cost the same as the UMD version?
We don't know these things, so let's not bring the thread much into posts and posts about that. It seems Sony wanted to delay the PSN release to coincide with the PSP Go launching and all that, but of course that's just my theory. Nothing is confirmed, so let's just worry about things like that if they're actually spoken about.
How's the difficulty?
I've seen some people say the encounter rate is a bit high sometimes, but generally, just take battles at a cool pace. Racing will probably get you killed. Also, Yawee has said that the difference between Easy / Hard difficulty is - / + 20% damage received, so it won't be too rough if you decide to take Hard at the onset. I never played the original, so find someone besides me to help you with that!
Does this game get a healthy dose of Atlus Spoils?
Yup yup! Each and every launch copy of the game comes with the full 2-Disc soundtrack. I loves me some Meguro, so that's pretty awesome.
