Steve Stamatiadis; you may know me as Creative Director and the guy behind some of our biggest titles like TY the Tasmanian Tiger series and the PS2 and PSP versions of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. I’m also the creator and director of Krome Studios’ new game, Blade Kitten, a brand new hi-def, high-action PS3 game coming to the PlayStation Network in the Spring.....

If old. humiliate me and lock it please

The trailer on Gametrailers.com has got me really interested. It reminded me a good deal of Metroid for some reason. Also very good graphics for a downloadable game.

I was completely ready to dismiss this game cause of the horrible title and Esurance protagonist, but the gameplay in the video at least looked like it could be fun.

Is it just me or are a lot more western devs sort of adopting an anime art style?

Either way, the game looks interesting. It's on my radar.

I remember back when it was just a wee webcomic with a decent story but infrequent updates, neat to see it's a game now.

The art design of this game makes me go "whaa?" Somebody liked anime a little too much and wasn't able to pull it off.

Looks cool, you had me at kitten. We need more cat based games. This is from a GAFFer's studio so support that shit.

Finally! I've been waiting for you guys to post something about it.

*Edit* Oh yeah I'm the Steve from the blog that made the game.

Hope you guys are looking from some HD Strider-esque action. I know I was, I got sick of waiting so I made my own.

Hm, it's been a while since a trailer's actually influenced my decision to buy something. Will likely pick this up at some point, providing the final product lives up to the footage.

combat reminds me of muramasa, which is great

No it doesn't, no it's not, and don't say that. I was happy thinking of it as a goofy Strider clone, not that airheaded Vanillaware game. Stupid goddamn gorgeous Vanillaware games.

Not really too excited about the protagonist and the art-direction here, but I do like the gameplay shown. Needs more sidescrollers with a fun story. I'll probably buy it if the price is right.

I feel the same way. The gameplay seems interesting enough to keep me hook. Looking forward to it.

Wow, I remember this...all the way back to...2005, I think. It was my first visit at E3, I met Gaz and he handed me a picture with Blade Kitten character art and told me it was some kind of secret project, and that the picture might be worth something one day. I still have it! :P

Didn't expect to, but I really liked the trailer. The action was quick and fluid, but had plenty of personality. Worth putting my money down on.

Looks like fun. It definitely comes across as paying homage to old school action games, which is always a positive sign. I'm not crazy about the graphical style, but the gameplay looks right up my alley. If it controls well and has good level design I'm totally there.

Awesome, I know the feeling :) Best of luck with the game!

Please do it you can save through the gameplay!!

The game autosaves at checkpoints so you can continue from where you were in the middle of a level.

I'm happy to answer most questions, though I have to keep some things under wraps until the appropriate time.
