Funny thing is the Single player game is so good in Red Dead that i haven't touched multi yet. Glad to see it doing well my goty.
 
Mamotte Knight, JoyJoy, Gerbil Physics 2 and Zombie Estate all charted. Looks like the quality titles are slowly rising to the top of the XBL Indie heap.

Very disappointing if true. Alan Wake was phenomenal...better than Red Dead imo.

Also BC2 is a great game, but that game's structure really limits its long-term
appeal. Needs more maps.
 
Looks like RDR did pretty well, I was thinking it would be higher though, and Alan Wake is non existant? I'm pretty shocked by that, but maybe people spent their dollars on RDR and were waiting for UFC 2010 as well?

Yeah, it needs a shot in the arm with new maps and they need to get off their ass and patch the game.
 
If AW bombs I'm going to be so pissed at 360 owners. It's exactly the type of game 360 needs more.

It had a good release date. Until Rockstar decided to release RDR the same day. MS was pretty much the first to announce this date before the other titles.
 
I am probably missing something. How do we know Alan Wake bombed? What is signifying this on this post?

Edit: I thought the first list was based on active multiplayer or downloads? which Alan Wake is not a part of.
 
Great debut for RDR and extremely sad that Alan Wake bombed hardcore. Was there just too much negativity following the game after the sub HD fiasco?

It's based on the number of people playing a game while connected to Xbox Live.
 
think alan wake needed more advertising

on tv ive seen ads for rdr and split/second but alan wake ads have so far been nonexistent

Hmmm...well, that is definitely disappointing then. Then again, Alan Wake has no online component whatsoever, so...I wouldn't say it's a nail in the coffin. Still: this is worrying. Wait for NPD.

Yeah that to me is shocking. I remember MS saying they are going to give AW a movie like marketing campaign. What the hell happened to that? Or were they just talking about those short live action episodes? That's BS.

That series was pretty awesome, though
 
Yeah..even Final Fantasy XIII made it to the list for 2 weeks..or 3 (since the first week chart wasn't released)..

Hope it sells great anyway.
 
I don't know...Amazon still has Alan Wake listed at #6 and the limited edition somewhere up there. Plus, the top 20 are all heavy multiplater games. Just doesn't seem right.

They could have released the game during the first week of May and enjoyed much better sales. Releasing the game alongside RDR was suicide, that's not including racing fans or PoP dudes picking up split/second or the new PoP game for some added injury. I really wonder why publishers push their games out when there's fierce competition and earlier weeks were dry.
 
Dammit. I hope Alan Wake didn't bomb. I am picking the game late this year.

Deadly Premonition was #1 on Amazon.com

So yeah.
 
BC2 will be out of the top 10 soon enough as I predicted a while back.

It just doesn't have the staying power of a MW2 or Halo.
 
There have been so many great and high profile games released the past month something had to give and it appears to be alan wake (and pop +split/second but everyone expected that)

Anyway,Alan Wake topped charts in many European countries. Still sad that it didn't hit the list as we can somewhat assume that games at the bottom have around 30-40k players a day.

Seems like it's been a while since the last maps. I'll get some bumps once they resume, and once they add the new co-op missions.
 
Hell yeah, that is a pretty impressive slot for any non-Halo non-COD game, well deserved though.

May RDR have GTAIV longevity on the charts, it's only right.

Sucks about Alan, though. :(
I'll be buying AW this weekend so at least I'm doing my part. I would have got it day one but RDR took priority.
 
Looks like Splinter Cell Conviction might not be around for long.

I was still planning on getting it once it drops $20 or so, it's an Ubi game so it shouldn't take long. Hopefully people will still be playing co-op by then.

WAIT MONKEY ISLAND 2 CAME OUT LAST WEEK....HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS!!!!
 
Would it be fair to say that it appears RDR likely exceeded sales expectations? I mean it was guaranteed to sell a lot, but I have a feeling it may have sold better than expected.

It sucks about AW, but talk about horrible timing. Personally I debated long and hard between RDR and AW, but decided to get RDR first based on length. I will likely pick it up once I finish RDR, but then again I still need to buy SMG2.
