Scans of teaser pages are allowed, right? I'll post the link to the web page once i get this cleared up :)

quote for you;
The latest issue of the Portugal’s PlayStation: The Official Magazine is teasing the reveal of inFAMOUS 2 in their next issue. The magazine ends with a picture showing the eyes of the first game’s protagonist Cole MacGrath and the following words underneath: “The announcement of a great PlayStation 3 exclusive in the next ROPS.”

ROPS is the Portuguese abbreviation for the magazine.

I could not be any less excited.

The first one was good, but I've had my share. With the glut of open world games this generation.... pass.

It's the opposite with me. Infamous is the only open world game I'm looking for. The mission design is the best EVER.

>:(

Can't wait for InFamous 2! Loved the first one unhealthily much, and the ending set-up bodes well for a great sequel.

Already? The team is quite small from what I understand and the previous game was released only a year ago.

Oh, well, if it's as great as its predecessor, it's a buy for me. :P

Thats how I feel too. There will need to be some big changes over the original to get me interested in this.

Plenty of open world games yes but few as fun the first(for me of course). As a PC/PS3 fella inFamous is my crackdown.

First one is still still probably my favorite game of last year. I mean, that was a game where I was sold purely on the gameplay and music because the visuals, voice acting, story, writing, characters, and general look of was kinda bad. That's a compliment.

Some people seem totally down on this game, though. Personally I don't get lumping it in with other open world game. I thought navigating the environment was so painless and entertaining and usually that is one thing I end up getting tired of with open world games. I played Infamous again right after finishing it because the flow of movement was fun.

Well, they're recasting cole, so we should get better voice acting. :D

News is awesome, very excited for
this.

I'm a little concerned though. Given all these leaks, what is going to surprise at E3? (in a good way I mean :P)

More excited about this than I was for RDR.

Cole is awesome! Can't forget about the way the game ended.

when was the last time E3 surprised anyone? I'm sure we'll get a few bits here and there, but not expecting too much.

Rolling thunder Sony. Rolling thunder.

LBP2, KZ3 now Infamous 2, announced 3 months in a row?

I guess its a lock for E3 conference reveal
... or is it?

I'm down for some InFamous 2. Its world was just open enough to where I didn't feel overwhelmed with tons of bullshit to do in order to amuse myself. Powers were cool and raining down electric destruction was fun.

They churned out 3 Sly games in pretty rapid succesion too. I'm sure they can handle it.

It would probably be a 2011 title too.

Also - looking forward to the next Zero Punctuation face off. :lol

A shame that Activision nuked Radical; I can't think of a similar game coming out in the future that will have the fortune of being released in close proximity to InFamous 2 and make for such an awesome comparison. Fingers crossed, though. :lol

I wonder if they actually created a PS3 specific engine for this one.

One can hope that since they already figured out load times (they were the absolute best thing about the game) that they've decided to spend their efforts on everything else engine-related. I popped the game in when they released that sword upgrade and was astonished by how bad the framerate actually was. AA is also a given, but that seems like it should be no problem with MLAA making the rounds.

Yeah. I'd say trailer at E3, playable at gamescom, June 2011 release.

I couldn't be any more excited!

The first one was awesome, and I want more. Doesn't matter how many open world games come out, this one will be worth a play I bet. :D :lol

I really hope it's on a new engine. The first game was kind of ugly

The first one was built on an engine originally meant for the PS2, they already have mentioned on different occasions that they have re-written many parts of it already.

If inFamous 2 got the layer of polish it inFamous needed, I'd be excited. Especially with a online mode.

I've heard that but I'm still in the believe it when I see it mode

I hold inFamous at the same level as Insomniac games, hopefully they can push to the next tier that other Sony devs have

If infamous 2 incorporated 4 player crackdown style co-op, it would be glorious. :D

For some reason my brain has started associating games/characters with ambient noises

I might be going crazy, but I play games that are very good so much, I add an effect to it

Just thinking of inFamous, my ears ring with that electral ping, mind you finding 350 shards w/o help from a guide/map, that noise sticks with you

Games for me have become synonomous with a thing

We should totally have a thread for it

KillZone 2 - the announcer, whenever I hear KZ2 mentioned, my brain fires up the term "Body Count"
inFamous - Electral Ping
Resistance - Chimera Grunt when the pack is activated
LBP - More of a visual image of Sack Boy sticking his tongue out/arms flailing
Uncharted - Nolan North.
Ratchet & Clank - RYNO, "Rip You New One"

Sorry for derail, but just thinking of inFamous 2, my ears are already hearing the ping

I wonder. Will they continue the electric superhero/villain thing again or will Cole have different abilities?

Spoilers about the end-game (that left me floored)
Time Travel perhaps? Like Kessler had?

Also, I want electric inline skates, to make moving around the city insanely quick. I'd like to be able to move around as quickly as you can in prototype. Running up walls, and going crazy with superpowers. Also, being a little bit less forced with the morality aspect wouldn't help :D

I wouldn't say it was ugly, for an open world game it actually looked great. Only noticeable faults were lack of AA and horrible(HORRIBLE) draw distance.

brilliant, i loved the fluidity of the movement in the first one.

A graphical overhaul, MOVE support and online co-op for number 2 please :D

Nice! Can't wait to see what it looks like. Devs seem get A LOT more out of their 2nd PS3 efforts.

Sony unveiling all the sequels that we expected, Resistance 3 has to be next. :lol

One can hope that they fix the horrible mistake of the first game and give you gliding and power line grinding from the onset. Also, they need to work on the platforming in the city to make sure that climbing a building isn't always solved by holding up and mashing X.

Once the player gets the powerline grinding and gliding powers, the game really opens up and feels alot more fun in terms of getting from place to place.

agreed. If we have those powers from the start, Infamous 2 will be even better :D
