Due to BocoDragon's demand, I will tally them.

RULES
I will only tally a poster once. If you edit your post after I tally them, what you said when I counted your votes sticks.
I will count every time GAF adds a new page to the thread. (100 posts)
Only 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2, 11, 12, 13 will count. I won't count FFT or other spinoffs.
If you do not rank a game, it will just receive no points.
Try your best to use something like I did above. Or at least easy to understand. If you have hundreds of > before the game you think sucks the most, it will still be last. It won't be negative or anything, so save your > presses.
Roman numerals are banned.

8 was my first FF game so I had no preconception of Final Fantasy games and why I probably like it more than most. The Junction system made sense while the materia system made no sense to me when I first played it :lol

Edit: Tactics is awesome and I'd put it right after VI, if it was allowed. Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus, Dissidia, Revenant Wings, and Tactics Advance are all decent games and worth playing if you're a fan of the series.

IMO you should, RK.

In the past I have heard people say things like "Everyone on GAF loves XII" and "everyone on GAF hates XII".. and I'd love to see some science dropped on the subject.
 
I haven't finished all the ones I've played, but they're on the list because my experience of them is usually what inhibits their completion.

X > VII > IX > VI > XIII > V > XII > VIII > X-2

As far as I am concerned, there are no other Final Fantasies worth the electrons needed to list them.

P.S. Tactics is too good to be on this list.

*XII would have been much higher if it had a closer to X combat system, yet able to see enemies on screen. Also if the story didnt feel like it started to drag near the end.

Mystic Quest is cool, needs a remake. FF Tactics War of the Lions > Classic FF Tactics.
FFTA2 > FFTA1

Crystal Bearers and Chocobo Dungeon Wii need sequels. XIV will most likely replace XIII as number 4.

Sure. And everyone who votes for FFT or says it's good will count as a -1 vote to the game of my choice!
 
I played 1 - 6 late so my opinion might vary:

10 > 9 > 7 > 6 > 8 > 4 > 13 > 5 > 1 > 2 > 10-2 > 12

Although, FF13 had my most favorite battle system in the FF series...

VI > X > VIII > VII > XIII > IV > V > IX > XII (debatable placement until I'm done with my second playthrough) > I > III > II > XI (sorry online FF will come in last no matter what).

I'm not very well suited for this as I've not played enough of them, despite being a sort of fan of the series. I think I'm more a fan of the series itself and its staples and such than I am a fan of most of the individual games. I'm including the ones I've played at least halfway through. Currently roughly halfway through FF6.

FF11 > FF9 > FFCC > FF7 > FF12 = FF6 > FF10

Note that the only game on that list that I have negative feelings toward is FF10. I loathe everything about that game except the combat/progression. In my opinion, they could've stripped that game down to those two components alone and it would've been a better game. 12 is awesome. I love the combat, I love gambits and I love the story for the first 2/3 of the game. So don't misunderstand it being near the bottom.
 
Hmmm.. I have yet to see someone put FFXIII on top of their list. :P
