This is the continuation of the manga thread. Just continue discussions here per normal. The link to the original thread is below for reference. Carry on. :)



Simple rules to follow so we can discuss our favorite mangas easily:

In bold, put the name of the series. Then you can go ahead and discuss whatever is on your mind without tags, okay? Make sure there is a space between the bolded name of the series and your text. Here's an example:

Hunter X Hunter

It rules and I don't know why!

Okay. Again, another warning. We will discuss all the mangas in one topic with no tags. If you don't want to be spoiled by the chapter as soon as the translation is out, do not come in here. Also, since we are not talking about the anime, you can mention new episodes without tags either since they are always behind or are filler. You should know well enough not to come in here not wanting to be spoiled but bolding the header should help out even more.

Again, No Spoiler marks needed, that is the benefit of coming here.

Activated new sharingan level that was never thought concievable (i.e sharingan arm, 10 tails, boom pow bang etc)
 
GE - Good Ending

Oh man, this is falling even more into the usual trappings of harem manga. The protagonist went from loser to pimp to indecisive and he's now on the "wants to please everyone, even though it's obviously impossible" stage. What a letdown.

I can't even tell if his last decision means he'll be investing more in Kurokawa. What a pansy.

Fairy Tail coming out after the Big 3 was wierd and I only recently noticed the newest Soul Eater had already come out on the 1st of July. :(

A Town Where You Live
I finally got fed up with this and stopped reading halfway through the chapter. I'll probably finish it one day when I'm extremely bored with nothing else to do.

GE - Good Ending
I couldn't care less about the characters anymore. I don't even understand why this manga is still going; the dude is now a Grade A pimp and main girl obviously likes him. Just read this out of habit now.

The love plot needs to die. Other than that I thought it was a decent chapter. Didn't like how what's her face got fired up in the end after wanting to crush Ashirogi Muto so bad. I agree with whoever said earlier that Eiji (?) will use his one cancellation on his own series to keep PCP.

The World God Only Knows
Meh chapter. I don't really like it when he gets involved with that quiet girl/Goddess. I'd rather they just move on to the next capture arc. Maybe she'll actually share some information that will move the plot forward.

That's what I'm doing. It really should have ended at around chapter 30 or so, but I guess it's too popular to let it die? Who knows. >_> Now it's even more generic than ever. I'm wondering when the author will pop in a tsundere loli for lulz.

Looks to me like he's getting over wanting to please everyone, as he's starting to be more decise.
Why else would he stop morning pratcises? He said it exactly because he wants Kurokawa, as he himself said this and last chapter.
I still really like this manga, moves forward pretty fast compared to other stories like it.

What else needs to be resolved? The main issues of the protagonist have all been conquered and then some. The only thing left is him getting with that main girl -- which is inevitable and should have happened by now anyways.

Well, he isn't the only one with issues. Kurokawa is the one with issues to resolve now. Until her issues are resolved, there can't be any ending. As the story is going, it looks to me as we need him to make her issues go away and for that, he has to grow up and grow a spine, which is what's happening.

I really don't get all the dislike for the events, it's not like this is lovey dovey, or honey x honey drops.

Not really. That is totally ignoring what has happened in the last 2 chapters. He went from an introverted coward around girls to being able to socialize, while attracting 3 nice girls, and he's the type of good guy who doesn't want to hurt everyone else's feelings, still, he changes little by little, but not as painfully slow as it happens in these type of stories.
He's already getting away from the indecisive stage, so I don't really see where's the problem.

I've been busy lately, so not much time to read anything except the Big Three. Will have to catch up on the book club stuff laterish (I think I missed it twice?).

It'd be awesome if someone could keep a constantly updated list or something.

I've said this before about Good Ending - I read the first page and the last 2 pages and I'm good to go. At this point, I'm just hoping it'll end soon.

My Balls

Been gradually working my way though this, I'm, on chapter 30. It really is a fun read, way better than I thought it would be. How are they going to fill 10 chapter's worth of antics in a single day?
 
Can someone suggest a decent regularly translated weekly manga for me to read? I feel like adding something new to my weekly list.

Y'know, I kinda miss the old thread title. It used to be one of the longest thread titles so that I can always find it if it's on the first page. Now it kinda blends in with the rest. :(

Because we have to find out whether or not Ryukia got raped or whatever her personal problem is. You have to wait for a lot of random rejection of the main guy for no real reason.

Bakuman:

The "Ashirogi gets encouraged" arcs starting to get annoying. Can't they do anything right? As I said in OG thread; Eiji isn't in first place in WSJ, even if he was serious about "cancelling a series."
 
Wow, new thread. The old one was legendary, some good times were had in there.

If you want megatons, read that thread during the Marineford arc of One Piece :lol

I just looked for either a) the thread with a huge post count, or b) the thread that says "SEE FIRST POST FOR RULES." I never actually read the first post until right now because it's still on page one :lol

That's not that many at all. Flawfuls has like 15 times that (apparently) and I follow at least double that number.

They only take up a few moments of my time and they don't all release at the same time.

My actual reading list includes much more manga, but most of the manga I follow aren't weekly or regularly translated.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I do as well. It's just slightly easier if the title was longer. *shrug* Just nitpicking. :D

It's really not that hard. I have like 30 or so (except a number of them are monthly/irregular/never gonna update so it's more like 20).
 
New Manga thread? I didn't even get to see the end of the last one. :(

Gonna try and read more of the manga I've heard about here. Finishing Solanin is first on my list.
 
I kept trying to find a couple mangas from that thread but still no luck so thought i'd ask. It was a long while back but there was a discussion about mangas with beautiful art and someone posted a manga with massive whales or something and remember I saved a few from the topic. Though my laptop crashed so if anyone remembers which manga it was i'd greatly appreciate it, the whales kind of looked like the ones that broke Luffy out of Impel down (but obviously wasn't one piece).

Of course, the only anime I read is One Piece, so I only post about that... I have no real interest in other mangas.

Eep, just looked at my list on Manga Updates. I have 185 manga on the list in some state of reading, but only 44 that I read as soon as they come out. The ones I don't read right away I'm usually really far behind on and/or they're stalled.

To be honest, some of the manga I read are pretty cookie cutter because I'm easy to please and I occasionally find myself merging two manga in my head because they're so similar.

It isn't very hard to keep up with manga. At most they get one update per week and they're a very quick read usually.

I thought her ex taped her while they were having sex and showed it around. At least that's what that little flashback looked like to me/made me think of.
