Eh, while the figure is nice, I don't really want any of the other extras.

I do like how the disc has an E on it while the box has an RP on it. Reminds me of how the instructions for the plastic anti-theft cases we just got in at work had SMG switch from being RP to having an E between shots.

So for twenty more bucks, you get a figure, a making-of DVD and stickers. I guess it's a good deal, but given the whole buzz behind this project and what goes into anything Disney, a making-of book with artwork would've been preferable. Who knows, maybe they're making that and selling it separate?

I for one am happy about the lack of an art book. That is what usually comes with something like this and they are usually trash, and the few that aren't feature such a small amount of art it sill feels like a rip off.

Metroid Prime Trilogy was kind of a special edition...
Cursed Mountain had a special edition (in a steelbook, no less!).

I was pretty pissed when I saw the headline, as I've had this game pre-ordered for months but I could care less about console/controller skins, I probably wouldn't watch the DVD, and I don't really need the figure (as cool as it is) so I'm not too upset. If the Special Edition comes in a Steelbook I will definitely get it though!

In the US I think so.

I think MH3 had an LE in Australia and the Conduit in Europe and HOTD Overkill possibly in Europe.

Edit: Beaten and I'm wrong, Cursed Mountain did indeed have a steelbook LE in the US.
