My cousin is an elementary school teacher. Just recently someone she works with quit her job as a teacher to fulfill her dream to become a singer. Before quitting she put a copy of her CD in to all of her coworkers boxes as a goodbye gift.

My cousin was kind enough to give me the album, and I must say.... Quitting her job to fulfill this career was either the worst mistake of her life, or the beginning of something that could be amazing.

i'd especially recommend track 6, it is titled Sariah (vocal).
secondly I'd recommend track 2, Magna Dance.

I work in advertising/post-production and all that fun stuff.

We had a client and a kid who worked for them wanted to become a rapper and told us he was about to quit his job to pursue that dream.
He basically did nothing but was paid a couple tens of thousands of dollars a year.

Then he played a couple songs he paid to have recorded that was laden with N-bombs and poor rhyme skills. Maybe one day he'll be a racist Eminem, but I remain skeptical.
He then asked us if we'd do a music video for him.

So yeah, people are stupid. Seen it firsthand.

yes. i realize that.... but apparently she is finally serious about this.

one of the women my cousin works with used this album case as a snow scraper when we had an unexpected snow storm last week. miss anndrea naidu witnessed it and was quite upset. this was the day she was quitting.

swear to god i'm not making this up though. found this out at the family thanksgiving dinner. my cousin told me the story, i didn't believe her it could be as bad as she said. so she grabbed it out of her car.

yeah... it isn't that abnormal for weird crazy mormon ladies to do this. but generally they never actually follow through with quitting their jobs.

hahh... nooooo by no means. it is a religion thing in general. but personally i only see it with mormons (in utah). most any other religious groups of people i know in utah are fairly normal and low key. but every state has its crazies.

I want to do something like this for April Fools'. Somehow set it up so that I'm running off to do something I'm clearly not suited for, like I dunno... becoming a professional dancer or some shit. I'd go all out (have promos done, set up places to "perform," etc) for the entire month until my friends and family can't help but be convinced (and horrified) that it's not a joke.

Obviously I could only do this one time in my entire life, so I'll hold off until I have something really good in mind. :D

I work for WMG. More specifically, the department that signs record deals with artists who we believe could make it big. I'm going to say that she has a chance if she puts a little bit more effort it. I probably shouldn't be saying this officially, but you don't really need much talent these days to make it big... but I'm sure the majority of you already knew that. The AMAs last weekend did well to prove this.

Andy Kaufman used to pull that kind of shit a lot. When he was dying of cancer most people thought it was a joke.
