Dubbed. Streaming on Netflix or Hulu and not stupid.

I liked:

Cowboy Bebop
Paranoia Agent
Death Note
Memories
Metropolis
Miyazaki Films

I would prefer a series. I love horror. Not into giant robots or super happy fun cute time crap.

Suggestions?

Gurren Laggan
Code Geass - Like Death Note
Gungrave - Like Bebop
Hellsing - OVA's are amazing
Star Driver is currently running and kinda awesome
Gundam 00 - Season 2 is in Full HD and amazing
Tokyo Magnitude - I only watched 4 episodes but it seems to fit with alot of things you liked
Witch Hunter Robin?

dooo itttt

Not horror per se... but I like the bleak amorality of Shigurui. It's on Canadian Netflix anyway... it's dubbed, HD and it's awesome.

Hulu started posting alot of Anime, doesn't even waste downloading time to check out an episode or 2. I just watched Ergo Proxy there like 6 months ago. It was worth checking out.

Netflix has Moribito which is awesome. Closest I've seen to Miyazaki in terms of story and animation in an anime series. Even manages some good action.

Hulu has Ergo Proxy which was strange but interesting. Kinda Paranoia Agentish in some respects.

Hulu has Trigun which is also great. Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood had a full run on there as well.

Samurai Champloo is both dubbed and gets compared to Cowboy Bebop more often than not. I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

Black Lagoon

I don't know if it's streaming anywhere, but it's great and has an excellent dub.
Black Lagoon is another really good one.

Full Metal Alchemist. I enjoyed a lot of the same you did. Give the show about 5-10 episodes, but it only gets better and better. I suggest the original Full Metal Alchemist, and not Brotherhood. Bhood is more enjoyable after the original FMA OR if you were heavily into the manga. Bhood sort of starts off as a cram session before it takes off on its own, and assumes you already know these characters' back stories well enough, while the original is very well paced and done, but the hate is from just the people who read the manga religiously.

A good fan made trailer to sort of give you a peek into the show. Here's another that picks some more action parts, although the person who made it is a bit amateurish lol:

If you liked Paranoia Agent, then watch any(every)thing from director Satoshi Kon. Perfect Blue, Millennium Actress, Tokyo Godfathers and Paprika. He also had a hand on Memories.

I'll also add in on the recommendation on Monster. Great great thriller anime series with some really interesting characters. If only a bit too long.

Ghost in the Shell. An anime franchise which has managed to stay high quality.

Watch the two movies, Ghost in the Shell and Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence. And then the two seaons of the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex series and finally Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. Solid State Society which is a movie following the series (by the same director).

Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex-A poilice drama pretty much, but one of the most well written anime tv shows out there.

Berserk-A great show with a lot of depth. It's more the swords and violence. It's an anime about relationships. It's fantastic

Gurren Lagann-Just one of best giant robot anime ever made. Incredibly fun with some of the most entertaining cast of characters out there. It's a bit stupid, but its the stupid thats so good and used well that its actually pretty smart.

Monster sounds cool. Thanks for all these great suggestions.

I loved Ghost in the Shell but not SAC. Paranoia Agent is my favorite anime film next to Tokyo Godfathers.

I'm kind of watching Demon Lord Dante on Hulu. I like it but the subs distract from the great character design. Same with Golgo 13

I need to check out more of Satoshi Kon's work. I loved Paranoia Agent, and I've been meaning to watch Perfect Blue. Perhaps, I'll make it my next dvd rental from Netflix.

Cowboy Bebop - try Black Lagoon, Outlaw Star, Samurai Champloo

Paranoia Agent and Memories - try out Satoshi Kons other works: Paprika, Perfect Blue, Millennium Actress as well as Serial Experiments Lain and Boogiepop Phantom

Death Note - Kaiji and maybe Code Geass

Miyazaki Films - Mushishi, Origins, Seirei no Moribito, Kemono no Souja Erin

Darker Than Black is on Netflix. I've only watched the first 6 or so episodes, but it seems fairly enjoyable, if you don't mind the general seriousness of it all. Psychic powered mercenaries in Tokyo and whatnot.

I dunno, has anyone else watched it, is it worth it?
