And yep, already installed the nifty NeoGAF keyboard shortcut one. :D I was very pleased to see there was a Forecast Fox one, but the GMail notifier one doesn't seem as versatile as the ones available for Firefox. About the only thing I miss now is an extension I had in FF that would allow me to just double-click on an image to save it to a preset directory.

That aside, the interface and just general quickness of the browser is great. FF was starting to feel a wee bit sluggish.

ChromeReload - Version: 0.5

Forecastfox Weather - Version: 1.5.12

neoGAF - Extra Three Buttons - Version: 0.9.6

NeoGAF - Multi-Quote - Version: 1.0.2

neoGAF - YOUTUBE ME! 3.0 - Version: 1.0

NeoGAF Live Thread - Version: 1.0.3

Send from Gmail (by Google) - Version: 1.11

Google Mail Checker - Adds a Gmail icon with notification of new messages. Click to launch a Gmail tab.
LastPass - Online password database with autofill and auto login. Pretty much the best thing ever.
Proxy Switchy - Quickly enable/disable proxy settings.
Smooth Gestures - Adds mouse gestures like you see in Opera.

Google Mail Checker plus - puts small icon next to address bar telling you how many unread emails you have. Allows you to manage them without going into the gmail website.
NeoGAF user highlighter - Can highlight your posts, threads, as well as when someone quotes you. Basically a must if you post a lot on GAF.
NeoGAF live thread - Great for threads that are rapidly growing like an E3 thread. (don't use it that much, but it's useful)
SmoothScroll - Lets you use smooth scroll with chrome. (not sure why this isn't in Chrome's options, or at least it wasn't when I last checked).

Those are all the ones I'm using now, but I'd love to have more if they're useful. I think Chrome extensions are great, so easy and quick to install. They can also be linked to your gmail account which is another plus since I also use my laptop at school.

adblock
baseball player search
browser button for adblock
flashblock
google mail checker
google reader notifier (by google)
imgur the world
neogaf live thread
neogaf user highlighter
tineye reverse image search

it highlights threads you create. i use it for quotes only, and it's awesome.

Man, does anybody know how to mod it so it would highlight subscribed threads as well? Seems like it wouldn't be too hard, but I don't know anything about google plugins.

Adblock (disabled for GAF of course) - It works as well as the firefox one now, blocks ads before they load instead of just hiding them, can "right click > block ad" now.

FastestTube - Because I need to download stuff off youtube. I know Google doesn't like that though (they remove all youtube downloading extensions from the chrome web store)

Image Properties Context Menu - Chrome Doesn't have a right click > image properties option for some reason, this one adds that. A GAF-made extension :D

Imgur Uploader - A quick way to rehost images, just "right click > upload to imgur"

Neogaf live thread - For GAF threads where i want to see the reaction posts in real time :lol

Tineye Reverse search - if someone posts a wallpaper or something and don't give a source, i can just right click the image > search on tineye.

in short, chrome >>>>>> firefox.

Do you mean threads in your usercp? That would be trivial to do.

If you mean threads that you've subscribed to, that would be near impossible without direct access to GAF's database, and even then, a purely client-side script wouldn't work. You'd need some server-side scripts as well.

Is there an extension similar to "Image Preview Popup" for Opera? If there's an image on a page that has been cropped and if you would click on it you'd be sent to the source with the bigger picture, this extension shows you the original size picture in a popup if you hover over it.

Edit: nevermind: Hover Zoom extension does the trick.

Is there any way to disable eBay from PriceBlink? I don't want to buy from auction sites. Also, it doesn't really cover some niche categories (I get 1 store result when browsing Kyocera ceramic knives on Amazon). Otherwise, this extension is pretty cool.

Off-topic, but is there any way to hide extension icons to the right of your address bar? I have one that I use its basic functionality for, but dont need all the extras it gives me when I click on it. Not seeing an option in its settings to hide it either.

only thing you can do is just drag the address bar a little more to the right so that sorta hides it...it will show an arrow for more instead of the icon.

also: Google Mail Checker Plus is nice as hell. Much nicer than the old one (and doesn't leak memory like the old one) :D

Good enough for me. Only extension icons I want/need like that are Google Mail Checker and Wheel of Trust. Thanks.

Are there extensions for:

- If you select an URL on a webpage that you can rightclick and in the menu there is a "go to this page" option?
- Similar to downloadhelper for FF?

Also, I've read somewhere on gaf, not long ago, how you can also create searches for specific sites in Chrome just like in FF. For example that when you type in "y search" you'll do a search in youtube. Anyone know how to do such a thing?

Type "google.com" in your address bar, then press TAB. I'm not sure which websites it works for, though.

Seriously if you use Facebook use this extension.

Also anyone that doesn't use lastpass to manage passwords is doing it wrong.

Chrome has a right click > go to page option built in, you just have to select a complete url (as in it has to at least have a "www" and a ".com")

for the second option you go into wrench > options > then click "manage" under default search. You can see all the searches you have, and can add your own, with custom keywords.

Do most .gifs still play in slow motion in Chrome? Or is there an extension that fixes it at least?
Chrome 10 fixed it finally, we just have to wait for that version to come to the stable channel.

Thanks. I've found how you do the search thing. Pretty complicated compared to the other browsers though. Have no idea why.

Also: is there a script that makes popup windows appear similar to those in Opera. Instead of Opening a new Chrome window, in Opera the popup gets its own detached frame within the current Opera Window. Really good looking and useful.

Awesome. Guess I'll switch to Chrome as soon as that gets a stable release. Thanks!
